Guest Martin
FORMER Scotland, Tottenham and Swindon defender Colin Calderwood has joined Newcastle United as a first-team coach. Calderwood, who was at the training ground today, had initially been cool on talk he was moving to Tyneside. However, once Joe Kinnear heard the former Nottingham Forest boss was keen to get back into the game following his City Ground exit, he made moves to bring him to St James’s Park to help work with the defence. Kinnear told the Chronicle: "We have Colin Calderwood on board now, and he will be joining us until the end of the season to bring something else to our backroom team." Chris Banaloona
Very good coach by all accounts so I can only this as a positive. Done a very good job at Northampton and got Forest promoted after all.
