Shak
Could have very easily gone down under Fat Sam tbh, we were every bit as shit before Keegan took over as we are now, arguably moreso in fact. Appointing Wise was probably more damaging, as while he didn't actually do a whole lot wrong in his time here it was his presence that ultimately led to KK's departure. We'd not be in this mess if Keegan had been left to his own devices, not that he was in any way blameless in the situation.
Guest Mucky01
The best: getting KK in as a manager first time around, The worst: jeeeez, too many to mention but those buffoons in charge at the moment must come top of the pile — and that takes some doing! Mistle17
Worst: Sacking Sir Bobby at the time we did while not having a good replacement lined up. That, imo, is the main reason we're currently in this miss. Jonathan Woodgate trying to keep the ball in play during the final minute at home to Partizan Belgrade. He kept it in but Belgrade picked it up and went and scored. We all know what happened next.. Not backing SBR properly after the 03/04 season. And Shola Ameobi's father not to wear a condom. Guest Chubby Jason
Signing Bramble instead of Sothgate. Also the sacking of Bobby and bringing in Souness, remember we were on parity with Liverpool at the time. They sacked Houllier and got Benitez and won the Champions League the next year, we got big GS followed by Roeder, Big Sam et al and now we're probably going down while Liverpool could be champions at the end of the season. Robster
I am no font of knowledge from a financial aspect but how big a cock up was the decision to go to a PLC ?

Interpolic
Ignoring whether Bobby Robson should have went that summer for a second, I feel the worst decision was when Shepherd told the media that it was to be SBR's final season. You just don't do that. Yes we'd went downhill the previous season but I think a fair chunk of the blame for our poor form at the start of 04/05 could be attributed to Robson being completely undermined before we kicked a ball. Shepherd should have either got rid or kept his mouth shut. He chose to keep him on and act the knacker-job.
Jayson
Agree with that. We could have had so many more years of greatness
