We've got another 4 games to go, we're one win from being out of the relegation zone, shut the fuck up and leave the finger-pointing until after the end of the season. Whilst it's still mathematically possible we've got to support the team and hope against hope we are still in touching distance when Boro come to St James'. Hull and Boro have pretty tough next fixtures too, after which us and Boro have 3 games we could conceivably get something from, Hull have two. We are level with Boro and 3 points behind Hull. Lets worry about that.

Absolutely!

If you came home to find your cat on fire with your bairn stood there chuckling, you'd put the fire out first and twat the bastard bairn later

Regarding Milner and Zog, they were players who in one way or another often contributed to us creating chances, something we haven't been doing all season. Can't remember the last time we created a chance through passing the ball and making forward runs. Maybe Duff vs. Spurs. Anyway, we have the most unbalanced squad in the Premiership, no playing philosophy, no confidence among the players, four different managers, loads of injuries to supposed "key" players, no leadership on the pitch and a fitness level that leads to us not being able to perform for 90 minutes. Of course we're going down.

Are we still accepting all of this is Keegan's fault though?  :sadnod:

It's not all his fault ffs! But you can't deny that he could have a bit more for the cause.

Like keep us up last season for example?

Of course mate. Fancy leaving us with only 35 games left with which to save ourselves

It would be the same if he left us with 38 or 8 games to play. He knew the turmoil it would cause. SBR would have fought on and tried to get football played with what he had.

Nowhere near enough when you consider we're probably going down this season. Might as well have gone down last season then!

Keegan's gone, it's pointless trawling through the same trash every week. Shearer's in charge now, if he's got anything about him he'll want to be here next season and give it a real go whatever division we're in.

Conversely he may have thought that whilst inthe short term it would cause turmoil, that the club had ample time to steady the ship and progress with the season.

Fair enough. Point is though, he put Kevin Keegan before the club. Fair do's to him, don't get me wrong. I'm just not going to hold him up on a pedestal and worship him for it.

He did try and get everything sorted after the Chelsea game last season though.

SBR would have done what was best for himself, like he always has done. Fair play to him for that though.

SBR bit his tongue and soldiered on when Kluivert, Butt and Carr were signed over his head and when Speed was sold behind his back.

He was also never interested in managing us when we were in strife before Keegan rescued the club out in the early 90's, never used to mention how he 'bled black & white' or wanted the job when he was coveted by top european clubs.

So what? He was in the thick of a highly successful international career! Whereas Keegan had never managed before and had been sunny holidaying for a few years!

Howay man, I'm not claiming SBR to be the Geordie mother theresa! It's one thing to do what's best for yourself, and another to stick to a commitment you have made. When was SBR ever out of a job and turned us down? All those times he wouldn't come, he was tied down to a contract some place else, and was simply fulfilling his commitment.

It's different. Yes it's every man for himself in this world, and I would do the same! Its different though when you've already made the commitment to be part of something that is supposedly meaningful to you.

If he really loved us as claimed he would have came when offered the job at Barca. Don't give me any of this he was under contract stuff, as it expired at the end of that season. If he'd have thought that they were going to shaft him and bring Van Gaal in he would have left there and then. He probably assumed that he could have got an extension on his contract. I love him but please don't tell me he hasn't always done what suited SBR first.

All IMO of course. ;)

I won't, as long as you don't make that Keegan did anything for us out of the goodness of his heart  :laugh2:
