cockney mafia out?

Something far more robust is required, two blokes with a banner isn’t going to encourage Ashley to get on with it. If he’s still in charge when we play Leeds an on-pitch sit in would be a good start.

It’s all very well knocking the OP, but at least they’re not content to sit around letting Ashley take the piss. NUFC is or club, and the time to reclaim it is long overdue. Causing Ashley as much grief as possible without breaking the law was the way forward nine months ago, and it remains the way forward now.

An on-pitch sit in would be breaking the law, wouldn't it?

Not sure, but you’d only be arrested if you refused to move when asked by policeman… this is the UK not China.

Unfortunately trashing Sportsdirect stores and smearing s*** on Lambias car is definitely illegal. Shame that.

you'd be arrested and possibly facing a ground exclusion order for encroaching onto the pitch regardless of wether a policeman asks you to move or not.

picket the leeds game. it's only a friendly. the players don't need any support for it.

The Police would have no interest in nicking 20,000 fans.  They couldn't even cope with 200 being locked up.  They also wouldn't dream of attempting to get banning orders for thousands of fans.  You would have to take your chances with the dogs mind.

You don't even know what's going on behind the scenes, how is causing him grief going to help?  As it stands, despite the crap written in the papers, he might actually want a quick sale as well.  Everyone acting like tits isn't going to help that.

Howay the situation is obvious. Ashley is pissing everybody about in the hope of squeezing a higher price than the current bids. It’s that or Keith and Derrick have been feeding us s*** for the last two months.

The way things are going it’ll be relegation again this season, if the club survives that long. We have to do something.

And what the **** is sitting in the middle of the pitch going to do to help?  I bet Ashley s***s himself when he sees a bunch of teenagers sitting on the middle of the pitch.

No, the application of this law is all relative. A pitch invasion after promotion never results in arrests. It’s grey area really, what’s the score on refusing to leave your seat after the game?

A total boycott of all pre season home games would be a start, but it would need organising. Now NUSC have secured trust status perhaps they might want to turn their attentions to the here and now.

It makes good TV, and like all wars this one has to be fought via the media.

At the end of the day it’s a choice between doing something or being shit on for the foreseeable future.

Collectively we have the power to force Ashley’s hand, but never will while people like you insist on rolling over and asking Mike to tickle you’re tummy.

Firstly, we don't have the power to force Ashley's hand, least of all by going and standing on the pitch.  Secondly, even if we do force his hand, force it into what?  Say someone blows up his car or firebombs his house, that will result in him going "Ah, OK then.  I'll appoint Shearer now and sell to group with the best offer?"  No, it's more likely he goes, "Right, that's it, minimum bids accepted for players and the club, first person to give me £50m, be it Freddy, asset strippers or whatever can have it."

Ashley may be a moron, but I imagine he's trying to get the biggest offer and the interested party willing and capable of paying to most is likey to be one of the strongest placed to take the club forward.  Acting like apes and trying to get him to leave town by sundown will just result in the club being given to whoever he sees on his way to the city gates.  Think about it man.

No, the application of this law is all relative. A pitch invasion after promotion never results in arrests. It’s grey area really, what’s the score on refusing to leave your seat after the game?

A total boycott of all pre season home games would be a start, but it would need organising. Now NUSC have secured trust status perhaps they might want to turn their attentions to the here and now.

a pitch invasion in protest would result in arrests.

So why aren’t home supporters arrested for invading the pitch after securing promotion?

because the intent is different.

tell you what. at the leeds game. once the whistle goes, run on the pitch and see what happens.

That’d be right, let somebody else take a stand while you reap the benefits eh?

Obviously you’re an expert on the law, so please explain how the intent is different, and how this changes the application of the law?

when did i say i was an expert.

You’re like stuck records Madras, constantly taking up a position then denying it later. Hiding behind word games instead of having any conviction.

wtf are you on about. i said you can can get arrested for going on the pitch, espec ially so if its a protest.

i'm no expert on politics or other stuff but i'll stick my two penneth in...as do you.

cockney mafia out?

It makes good TV, and like all wars this one has to be fought via the media.

At the end of the day it’s a choice between doing something or being s*** on for the foreseeable future.

Any protest won't make a difference so ultimately the choice is between doing nothing and looking like a ****.

Collectively we have the power to force Ashley’s hand, but never will while people like you insist on rolling over and asking Mike to tickle you’re tummy.

No, we don't have the power to force his hand.  You sound like a 13 year old.

Spoken like a sheep. Baaaaaaaa

Yep, definitely sound like a 13 year old.

What do you honestly think a pitch invasion would force Ashley to do?

Baaaaaaaaaaaa

What will a pitch invasion do?

Madras is right, step on the pitch and you will see the inside of a police van followed by the outside of the ground on match days. The law is clear, step out of line in a football ground and be banned from matches for years. Whether you're going on the pitch to lamp a player or to make a peaceful protest, chances are you will be banned and possibly a criminal record.

Just a thought,  but if Shearer really wants the role and clearly no-one can make the decision to sign him up (Ashley is on his way out and doesn't want to hand the role to anyone due to future consequences and new owners aren't in place yet etc), why doesn't Shearer just go to the training ground and take training etc? I highly doubt he would get turned away ....

Or he speaks to whoever is in charge and says he'll agree to a low/no salary and fill in the gap. He chatted about it being his club and he would do anything to help the cause, so why wait for the club to come to him? As I say, I doubt anyone would say 'Piss off Alan otherwise we'll set the dogs on you'.

Guest fading star

go on fading star... you do it. you have a sit down protest on the pitch and find out what happens ? whats that ? you wont unless others do ? a bit sheep like wouldn't you say ?

One person probably would get arrested, and like a one man boycott it’d achieve nothing. It’s strength in numbers that counts. A united front will see us through this nightmare. Just letting Ashley destroy our club can’t be an option. If sitting on the pitch is a non starter then let’s work on something that isn’t.

At what point would you advocate mass protest, the day after the club ceases to exist?
