Guest Taff
I'd go with Harewood and Lovenkrands up front. You crazy fool, do you want to lose again, got to be Carrol and Ranger for me, don't think its a coincidence we can't score since they stopped playing together. Ranger creates so much space with his running I'll compromise. Ranger and Harewood. is what i'd go for I would agree, but I'm not going to. Sick of having two target men up top, this long ball s*** is giving me neck ache! Get Loven' up there and start playing some through balls instead of all this long ball flick on s****! Since when is Marlon Harewood a target man? What is he then? He has no touch, no movement, no awareness, struggles to trap a ball and tries to run through players and not around them. relámpago blanco
Haven't been impressed by Nolan behind a lone striker once this season. Scores goals from there though.
Ronaldo
all but 1 of Nolan's 6 goals have come with 2 or more strikers on the pitch to be fair
Mowen
Haven't been impressed by Nolan behind a lone striker once this season. Scores goals from there though. As Ronaldo says, he doesn't. Hattrick he was behind Ranger and Carroll, same for the goal against Plymouth where he was fucking awful until a second striker came on. Was on holiday for the palace and huddersfield games mind so can't comment on those.

Guest Taff
unbelievable There is nothing unbelievable about it, you only have to look at him throughout his career. He's been shite since his first season at WHU. I watched him twice for Wolves last year and I've seen every game for us and he's done nothing to change my opinion of him. He was infuriatingly bad at the weekend, I've seen more movement in a parked car..... And Mark Viduka!
Ronaldo
Shit since his first season at WHU? So I take it you missed the seasons when he managed to net 22 then 16?

Must have been concentrating on what my own team where doing. Patrick Kluivert used to be World Class, wasn't at Toon and that's all I care about. Is he was a horse and the last three games were races, he would be shot.

Yep, Red Rum would have finished that and would have looked less startled that he actually scored.

Shearergol
Last time Carroll played at Glanford Park he was sent off. He was shocking before he got sent off anyway, so it didn't make much difference.

I watched both teams at the weekend, and if Newcastle play like they did in the first half, Scunthorpe will win. Scunthorpe always conceed goals from crosses, so depends if Taylor is playing at right wing or right back. Before the weekend I had this down as 1-2, but I honestly think Scunny will nick it by bossing the midfield.
Shearergol
Just seen that O'Connor is missing tonight, which is a massive blow for Scunny. I'll change to a Newcastle win now
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
where are people drinking beforehand? I'm tempted to find the Honest Lawyer as the football ground guide says its got recognition from CAMRA...

I'm tempted to find the Honest Lawyer as the football ground guide says its got recognition from CAMRA... You'll not get in mate. It's where Scunny fans drink, and it's tiny. Just go to Old Farmhouse right near the ground. Sheff United fans were in there on Saturday.

WarrenBartonCentrePartin
oh, and Shearergol, whats the best way of getting from the station to the ground? It says its over 2 miles. Would a taxi be the best option, and if so whats it likely to cost? The trains due in at 1 minute past 6 so we could walk it if needs be.

They do let them in. I'm just saying you probably won't get to the bar! Most fans just walk it, but a taxi should only be a few quid. You might get a nice police escort anyway. If you fancy the Honest Lawyer, it's about 2 minutes from the station. Turn left out of the station, then right at the lights. You'll see it on the right hand side of the high street.
