Absolutely. Enjoyed this season more than any for quite a while, it obviously helped that we've been winning games, but the Championship's been a breath of fresh air for me; real teams, real fans, better than expected football, and so-on. Glad to be back in the plastic premiership, but in many ways I'll miss the Championship, it's way more fun.

Fantastic post that - and it has been proper football for me. It just reminded me of what the game is really about. As for our performance there have been times (especially towards the end of the season) when we've played entertaining football but we've also ground out results from some truly shocking games. There were times when it looked like it might go to crap (Derby away was one I remember) but Hughton/the players got it back on track fairly sharpish. I'll remember it long after some of our recent Premiership seasons.

As a club it remains to be seen if it was a blessing in disguise or not, as fans though who'd endured mid-table mediocrity at best for 8 out of the last 11 years, it was a breath of fresh air.

Really enjoyed it yes, I did have my reservations pre-season about us bouncing straight back (especially after that disastrous Leyton Orient friendly) but I've thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think in a strange way it was exactly what we needed, we moved on some of the under-performing huge earners and breathed a new life into the set up, bought pretty well during January too.

Credit where it's due though to Chris Hughton, the staff and the players. It's been a fantastic season.

From a football point of view not really, because I mainly attend away games and the football has been generally poor away from home even though results have been good.

On the other hand its been great going to new grounds and towns and cities, visiting new pubs etc. I think the novelty value of visiting places like Scunthorpe would soon wear off though.

Can now look forward to visiting places like Stoke and Wigan again next season

Believe me, it doesn't ;)

Some, if not the majority, of away games were complete and utter shit. As an example - Swansea away. Everyones happy we stole a point, including me considering the woeful performance we put in. Next season we'll get nothing from games like this.

It is my biggest worry with regards to Hughton remaining in charge is that especially away from home he has got it wrong so many times. We got away with it in the main because the opposition is/was complete shit. It should have been easier pickings on the road.

I have though enjoyed the break from the usual shit of Villa, Man City etc. I wont look forward to £40/£50 admission prices.

Thoroughly - meeting proper fans, the occasional proper club, going to proper stadiums, and doign a proper job on a division that is supposed to be proper hard to get out of. Time to take on the Premier with a proper team, in a proper club, with proper support, in a proper fashion.

Some of it.

Was Apathetic to begin with, didn't know what to expect.

When we wobbled a bit in October i was worried and also after christmas when we wobbled a bit again.

The football at times has been absolute garbage, but there have been some good games as well particularly in the 2nd half of the season ie Cardiff at home was a game i was worried about as we'd been rocking a bit but blew them away and played well. Once we were pratically home and hosed the shackles came off and we played some good stuff particularly at home to Barnsley, preston, Blackpool and others.

Have enjoyed winning games again and am looking forwrd to next season now whereas i wasn't looking forward to this season. Will be tough next year, but everyone told us this season would be tough and we'd struggle whereas we absolutely pissed it in the end. There's a lot of shit teams below 8th in the prem which gives me hope that we won't get sucked in and out of the league again.

I loved it but it was kind of how you love a wank. It was great at the time but now looking back, I feel I shouldn't have got such satisfaction from it and I kind of hate myself for it.

Not sure how you can compare watching Newcastle in the championship to knocking one out over gay porn!  :pow:
