I'm not sure how you couldn't have Pires in that team like.

I'd be surprised if the poll didn't see him through. However need to work out which wing is best for him.

Put him on the left and Overmars on the right. They could both interchange though.

This lad knows the crack, as usual.

Odd to think Arsenal even entertained the idea of wingers now! Overmars and Pires were mental though.

marc overmars for me was the reason arsenal took off the way they did, he was given the freedom by petit and vieira to just bomb forward at will and his pace was devastating, has to be a definite

Now Aston Villa, no great Premier League team, but have had plenty of good players.

Which Villa players did you admire? What would your team be?

No bets accepted on tooj mentioning Paul McGrath.

Fifth in the all-time-points-won-since-football-invented-in-1992 table, actually.

Good and consistent with some great individuals, but no great team :)

Bosnich

Staunton

McGrath

Laursen

Delaney

Merson

Barry -> I would put Ian Taylor, but I think that's just emotional attachment.

Young

Atkinson

Yorke

Saunders

Manager: Big Fat Ron. His first season was my favourite season following football, and that includes 80-1, 81-2

That midfield would get crucified, but I want those three up top.

Had some good central defenders Villa over recent times - McGrath, Southgate, Ehiogu, Laursen, Mellberg

Must have had a load of really shit midfielders tho if a player as incredibly average as James Milner is getting picked in their greatest ever Premier League team.

I'd maybe have Andy Townsend ahead of him.
