Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
We've forgotten how to defend as a team, today was a complete utter mess by everyone apart from Krul and Carroll. I think we do miss a leader at the back. Also someone should be telling enrique not to f***ing play his way out of every situation, it cost us in the lead-up to the pelanty and on other countless situations today. The lack of movement in midfield was staggering, the space between the midfield and carroll today was light years. The amount of times carroll had no f***ing support today was unreal. Sol? Ocho
We had cover for right wing, it's just Hughton decided not to play Routledge.

Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
Barton has shown this season, he's capable of playing out of position. Guthrie has shown he's completely incapable of playing out wide. It just shows that scratch below the surface of our first XI and the back up is completely woeful. Agreed, like I've said the total imbalance in the squad is what frightens me. Also we seem to lack 1-2 versatility players (i.e. who can play in a number of positions) to do a job. http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/James+Perch+mfVPc4ZsCNUm.jpg I was thinking more along in midfield (which I should have said), defensively we seem fine for cover for me at the moment. Perch can play defensive midfield

Guest LukeT
As everyones already said we were s***. Missed tiote putting his foot on the ball etc etc. I want to mention the two c***s two rows front of me yesterday. Stood shouting abuse at the players from about 1-0. Not just "Howay man pick it up get stuck in" but like proper personal abuse at the top of there voices. They weren't young lads either, early 50s I would say. Didnt seem drunk either. Sometime in the second half we lost the ball and one of them reached forward and grabbed this youngins hat off his head and threw it down the stand. The youngin, about 12/13 turned round and was asking him why and just got a barrage of abuse back. After getting grabbed by the scruff of the neck and warned he was gunna get a clip if he didn't stop it. He stopped for about 15 minutes then started saying stuff to the youngin again. The bloke had a hold of him again and if it wasn't for his mate holding him back would have got a clip. Those in front of him started threatening him as well. I know everyone gets emotional at football, especially when your teams getting beaten but you don't take it out on young kids man. I've seen him away quite a few times; glasses, grey hair, in his 50s. He's always been with what I assumes his daughter, 16-18 plump lass, toon top always has taylor on the back. So if by some coincidence he posts here, you're a c***. Or someone who knows him does and can tell from my s*** description, your mate is a c***. We don't need people like him causing trouble in our end. /rant over...
Guest BooBoo
I noticed our arsehole element were out in force yesterday, similar at Man City, everyone just pissed and focussed on abusing the home crowd.
Guest LukeT
The only good thing from this game was at half time when the cheerleaders were a bit clueless and did nothing, so as the dance music was blaring, the away end started dancing instead A bloke next to us stripped down to his kegs and started dancing on the stairs. I'll upload the video in a bit.

I remember West Brom last season for the first game. I was next to this absolute prick (ginger hair, glasses, about 40-45) who was just there to shout abuse at everyone and everything. I know we had been relegated, but theres a time and a fuckin place. I had no idea why he was even there 'supporting' the team the way he was going on. To top it off, despite all the abuse he was giving the players, the team, Ashley, the club, and other fans, he was standing in the yellow away top. Ive seen him at a few away games since, but hope im never near him again. Cunt!
Big Geordie
Was it pay on the gate, yesterday as well? I've noticed the knobhead element at Blackburn before, when you've been able to get in that way.

Guest kingdawson
You lot blatantly targeted Elmander tbh. I'm pretty sure your players were not instructed to do so by Houghton who isn't that sort of manager but i'm pretty sure they took it upon themselves to take him out. Mistle17
I was thinking prior to this game whether it would be better to replace Sol Campbell for Williamson due to his ability to challenge in the air and thought he might stand a chance of wrestling the threat of Davies, because lets face it, Williamson is very weak in the air- especially under pressure; we witnessed the ease that Jason Roberts had for his goal against Blackburn. Imo, both Williamson and Coloccini are weak in the air and against teams like Bolton and against players like Kevin Davies we will struggle to cope. But what an absolutely fucking catastrophic result that was. Fucking hell. It's no coincidence in the slightest that when both Tiote and Barton are missing we get absolutely steamrolled. Barton's replacement- Guthrie- imo was precisely in the side yesterday to deliver a good cross, from open play and set pieces. But once again he proved that he's simply not good enough for this league. Like Smith he becomes a liability and the lesson of this is that should we miss both or either Tiote/Barton we will suffer. Personally I would have played Routledge from the start yesterday, but it wouldn't have made a world of difference considering how shite we were collectively. And to really top off the day, one of our best players and arguably our best defender commits the most fucking stupid act imaginable with elbowing Elmander like that. Gone for 3 games. Give me strength...

Crumpy Gunt
Krul 5 Simpson 4 Colo 1 Williamson 2 Enrique 2 Guthrie 3 Smith 2 Nolan 2 Jonas 2 - clearly totaly and utterley SHIT. Shola 2 Carroll 5 Campbell 5 Lovenkrands 2 Routledge 5 Amended for accuracy. And most of the points awarded are too high.

Guthrie shows no appetite for the role out wide and for that I consider him a gutless wanker. If Dirk Kuyt - a forward - can roll his sleeves up and give it a go why can't Guthrie? binnsy
still can't believe how bad that was yesterday, a total shambolic performance from start to finish and felt sorry for Krul who was left horribly exposed by the so called defenders in front of him and Carroll who was left up front on his own with no support! Guthrie showed again that he is a championship midfielder, people might say that he was playing out wide but the fact is that he is a yard too short of pace whereever he plays, Smith just isn't good enough anymore while Jose and Jonas were terrible down the left. Jose gave the ball away more times in the first 20 mins than he has done all season and him messing around in the corner with Colo led to the first goal. Colo just had a mare and sadly looked like the player that looked so shaky in our relegation season, hopefully just a blip and not history repeating himself as in that season after a good start it was around this time that his form dipped and he was exposed against the pace, power and strength of some PL forwards. Krul 5.5 Simpson 4 Jose 3 Colo 3 Williamson 4 Smith 4 Guthrie 4 Nolan 5 Jonas 4 Shola 5 Carroll 7 At least Tiote is back next week and i'd bring in both Campbell and Taylor next week as well. Sadly we are still struggling for a right midfielder as not sure Routledge is the answer either.
