Which manager, available and willing to come, would you suggest bringing in?

i still think martin jol would have a go.

Not with no money.

Fulham are hardly loaded.

But they are willing to pay what it takes to get a good manager. Ashley got turned down by David O'Leary who was on the dole.

When was this?

Mike Ashley's not daft,he hasn't got the money hes got by making bad decisions. He'll not get carried away with the good results we've had i personally think he will hang on as long as possible before offering Houghton another contract.

He might not be daft when it comes to selling sports goods seconds but running a football team he hasn't been a great success so far.

Speaking of Ashley, I see NE5 was out in force after yesterdays game on Toontastic. Now there's a fella who revels in our misfortune.

Who's lost the most money relative to their total worth over the period he's owned this football club, me or him?

That was down to the recession, nobody predicted that.

Most of us lost money because of the recession, LLLO was talking pound for pound comparisons. Ashley's purchase of the club and subsequent handling of it was amateur at best.

Never posts football related stuff after we win, someone questions him on this on Toontastic after we beat Arsenal and he basically said he had seen enough wins over the years so wasn't bothered enough to comment on it.

It's a sad state of affairs when you are more interested in sticking up for a previous part owner than you are about the team, especially when you claim to be this fantastic long term fan whose opinion cannot be questioned :(

  • 3 weeks later...

Some people need to be reminded they weren't all singing Hughton's praises before he was sacked.

Why? Was it our decision he was sacked?

Even now I maintain my position that Hughton was average and the decision to sack him could/would have been right had we got in somene like Jol or MON. I'm not pissed at Hughton's sacking per se but the fact that we replaced him with someone seemingly inferior and the way Ashley treats the club/fans with such scorn by employing his casino buddy.

But imo it all comes hand in hand. Hughton was the best we were going to have, and we were lucky for that. As Ashley is clearly a demented prick that is never going to attract a man of either Jol or MON's stature because of his ridiculous club management. So it was a fucking ridiculous decision to sack Hughton, as it was 99.99% obvious he was going to bring an inferior manager in.

That, tied in with sacking him after our first truly bad run because the reasons aren't football related but merely financial reasons and to regain control with his yes man, means I'm pissed at Hughton's sacking.
