Jesus, this place is depressing at the minute.

Nothing that a top class striker wouldn't fix!

Change in style next season according to the Sporting Kansas presser

He wants us to control games more - Tiote and Cabaye will do this, Marveaux will also provide something different on the wing. No fucking about with him just run down the line and cross. We've had a few two many blind alley wingers so lets hope he can transcend the channel and bring something new to our wings + free kicks and headers BOOM.

i dont think marveaux is that. he can go inside or outside so we shouldn't waste that by pushing him outside as an orthodox old style winger.

Nah he proper sticks to his line man, he's the anti-thesis of ben arfa who always cuts inside.

we'll see.

edit....and what the fuck you on about, ben arfa always cuts inside ? no he doesn't, he just always tries to keep the ball on his left whilst being capable with his right when swinging a leg.

Yeh - I suppose it's Pardew's call how he wants to use him but either way he's a good player and I'm happy to have him here - for spending very little we've done well.

and we have a new bore hole - which is of course the most important thing.

More often than not he'll cut inside like - more often than he crosses

he'll hold on to the ball and try and find the goal, even if it means hitting the by-line inside the box and cutting it back/across. ben arfa only cuts inside if you view him as a winger who should aim for the line, he'll drift wide to find space but the games i saw him play he was as much a winger as ginola.

Most of the time I've watched him he's been playing as a winger, rarely seen him elsewhere for Marseilles, might have played centre for France once mind.

at his best he doesn't play central or wide, he finds space and uses it.

From what I've read, Marveaux is not a winger at all. He apparently either plays in the centre or plays on the right and cuts inside. Personally not seen anything other than youtube clips, but on them he's generally cutting in from the right.
