Until that Kane goal, this second half had felt like a standard March international break fixture, where the players are playing at 70% not wanting to risk an injury for the run in.

Foden actually doing a good almiron impression.

Was thinking that. Against a low block it's so congested in the middle I'm a big believer you often just want someone to get to the byline drill it into the box and cause some chaos. Foden just wants to go inside all the time. If you're going to do that you need a really good attacking fullback who can do the byline stuff.

I know a man who'd do that...

The question is how we create space for Kane within twenty yards of goal. His legs have gone for running at defences and it was never really his game but it’s so pronounced now. He’s one level above Callum Wilson on the functioning legs dept

Honestly, Murphy just drilling some balls in wouldn't be the worst thing in a game like this. He's actually a very nice striker of the ball.

Jones been the one that’s routinely taking off the defence and moving forward. It’s the collection of 4 ahead that have then been poor.

He's certainly been better than Rice in that regard, but still too slow and cautious IMO.

Not looked to break the lines enough with any urgency.
