Wouldn't mind seeing the Kane pen shout again.

Don’t know if this ref’s a World Cup one but this isn’t boding super well. These are the games where you’re supposed to practice new stuff like penalising them for taking the piss at throw ins etc.

Against better teams I’d want Gordon off the bench against tired legs. He can’t trouble a fresh Hakimi but a tired Hakimi?

You have him on to knacker them out then bring on Rashford.

Edit: the concern I have with Rashford is as always what’s he doing when the oppo have the ball. Against the better teams that could be even more of a concern, and why I’d probably be more likely to start Gordon.

This is the first time I've really liked the look of an England side. Balance looks decent, its a 442 in effect. Kane can drop while fast wingers make runs. Bellingham looks more in the mood. 2 outstanding combative midfielders.

Missing one world class CB IMO.

The real question is how we defend when under pressure.

Agreed, although I really liked the look of them in a few games towards the end of qualifying. He’s been building towards this.

If Reece James and O’Reilly are our fullbacks through the tournament we have every chance of making a real impact.

I love O'Reilly as a player tbh, as much as it pains me to say he's the better left back out of him and Hall. Though I would probably play O'Reilly in midfield with Rice and have Hall at left back.

I dont even mind if the knockout games turn into tight affairs because I think we have the match winners.
