Freddie Woodman (now playing for Preston North End)

He's kept 11 clean sheets in 19 games and only conceded 15 goals this season so far, sounds like he's performing really well too, and making some vital saves.

Another player who would probably have never been good enough for the new NUFC but who is almost definitely not as crap as he was made to look when hung out to dry by Nana Bruce behind a back line filled with divvies who don't darken our pitch any more.

Glad to see he's rebuilding his once good reputation and hope he makes it as a PL keeper one day.

Also - this poor fucker made 5 senior appearances under Bruce last season and faced 8 penalties  it's a wonder he's keeping clean sheets for Preston and not sat in a dark corner somewhere rocking back and forth.

I remember him facing a fair amount of pens, but didn't realize it was 8 in 5, thats an absurd record. poor fucker

Just had a look at the defense against Man United in the 4-1 loss, in front of him he had a back 5 of:

Manquillo   Lascelles    Clark    Hayden    Ritchie

He really was utterly shafted by Bruce, Jesus Christ

*Schar and Fernandez where unused subs too

A ridiculous record tbh. Wonder what the record for a second tier season is.

Wouldn't mind them coming up to see how he'd do for an extended period in the PL.

A quick trip to Wiki says that since the Golden Glove started it was 25 by de Vries for Swansea. Woodman got it with 20 for Swansea a couple of years ago. Ridiculous is right.
