It looks increasingly like 6 teams from the national league plus Celtic and Rangers go into the championship 1

The last thing we need is more teams IMO.

We have plenty of well supported non-league clubs and developing clubs hoping to get into the league. You just have to look at the likes of Doncaster, Fleetwood, Wimbledon, and York to see how their are clubs who are viable league clubs. Doncaster came all the way from the Conference to the Championship in a few years, Fllwtwood are devoting into a decent league team. Last night we had Acceington Stanely and Wimbledon in the League 2 play offs, both clubs who are replacements to their original clubs. In Wimbledon's case their rise has been rapid. York city are on the verge of building a new stadium to house increasing supporter numbers. Closer to home we have Gateshead who ideally want their own stadium to house their steady following.

England is unique in the sense that we have hundreds of well supported clubs and are possibly the only country in he world that can support then. It's are duty to continue supporting them.

Nah. More games = more revenue.

Money that will be used to pay the wages of the Stewarts at Fllwtwood and Acceington Stanely.

I think they should be allowed in tbh. If not then the f***ing Welsh teams should be kicked out and into the Nathaniel Car Sales Welsh Football League.

The reason why the Welsh teams are allowed in us because there isn't a professional league in Wales, or the conditions for a financially viable professional league structure to exist. There is in Scotland so any move to bring the Old Firm in would fall foul of FIFA rules.

If these proposals are to come off id like to see a restructure on the play offs leaning in favour of the team that finishes 3rd as finishing 3rd gains no advantage at all and i think it should this is what id like to see

3rd placed team goes straight to play off final

6th plays 5th. the 5th placed dream having home advantage for finishing highest. the winner of this game then plays the 4th placed team again 4th having home advantage for finishing highest. the winner of this game then plays 3rd placed team in final

Quite a good idea. Make it one game too, highest place team gets home advantage.

Soz if Giggs.

I hadn't thought about this, but it seems the Football League reforms would create a convenient entry point for Celtic and Rangers, though it would still be unlikely. I haven't heard mention of this proposition in a good while

It's been rumoured for a while but it would be unfair to relegate 4 teams or more from the Championship and allow Celtic and Rangers in, and there is no chance either club would drop lower down. Rangers probably missed the boat when they were relegated to the Scottish 3rd division, they should have made their case to the FL then.

It's obvious that Celtic and Rangers want only in the Premier League, they can't have their cake and eat it. Even allowing them into the Championship is taking the piss.
