The investors are buying in to help the club progress up the leagues but there's no need to invest in the squad as it's already the most expensive in the league??The Don is happy to sell part of his stake in a club who's squad doesn't need investment to go up, in exchange for a few quid to fix the lifts and change the lightbulbs?? Big payday for Gateshead, potential for the upset and just shows them how far they’ve fallen that they’re playing another weaker team from the Tyne in a competitive match at a stage we’ve never taken part in. Beat Abedare Athletic 4-1 in front of 38,000. Just had a look at the record books and you're right, the first time we entered at the third round was 25-26. Previously to this we had the same amount of rounds to get to the final as for the top teams now, but there was no fifth round or quarter final stage. A friend of mine had to ring their ticket office this morning regarding his season ticket payment failing. After ringing the number about a dozen times without any joy he dialled the main reception at the SoL and was told that the lady who works in the ticket office isn't available to take calls on a Monday morning as she's busy washing the strips from the weekend.
