The referee didn't. the decision was still wrong despite VAR so therefore VAR didn't work VAR isn't there to make the decision though, the ref has the final say. You can have every aid in the world but if the ref is as hopeless as that with video help, you need better refs. so therefore its a waste of time and money. I despise this system it disrupts the game and if its not even leading to the correct decision then whats the point of it existing You may well be right, i'd say there's a need for better ref's in all football than there is for VARS right now. Doesn’t reflect on the whole of Africa for me KaKa, for what it’s worth. I think Cameroon just collectively lost it. Yeah, I know, and I appreciate that. Not really, it allows the ref to come to the correct decision, more often then not and in the Premier League i'm fairly certain they will get the correct decision. Its just in this tournament you're asking referees who have little to no experience in a game that isn't as developed as the male counterparts to make decision, in high profile games.
