Oregon_Geordie
Just now, David Edgar said: There have been some appalling performances recently and the odd great performance. We desperately need new players. Many are in decline. And consistency of effort. Away from the big night home games with flags and 52000 egging you on full voice. One too many are going through the motions too often. It's not acceptable, but yes we need some players.

Erikse
Our form has taken a 180 in the league.. Losing to Fulham, and getting smahed by Bournemouth plus a not so fantastic City side. Edited February 15 by Erikse
Dan
Cowardly approach to this game. City's confidence is low and we just let them dominate the ball. Shown them far too much respect.
Pilko
Not a clue what he's even tried to do today, even if you were to put it down to the players just being off it.
Barnes23
Not sure why we haven't gone after them with a far more aggressive press
M1tche
This set up isnt working, wide men keep getting 1 on 1 and the press is set up like we're playing 3 at the back. Picking Trips is such a weird decision as well
Nine
Totally bizarre today. They look like they all did 90 mins already this morning, what was the idea?
Decky
Its a poor performance but the reality is Eddie wasn't allowed to buy a single decent player to improve the squad for what, 3 transfer windows now? Because of PSR, but City just spunked £200m in January because Pep got a few bad results, and their shiny new £60m player scored a hatrick. The games corrupt to the core. nufc123
Most disappointed I have been with Ed in a long time. So passive and negative from the start.
ChrisMcQuillan
I'm simultaneously sympathetic and angry. Premier League corruption has put him in a nigh on impossible situation. But you cannot show up and just look terrified.
Lush Vlad
Get men up the pitch, but then don’t really press or then drop when you’ve been bypassed. Sort of hover about in no man’s land. Allow their midfielders to run through unchecked on a regular basis without putting a tackle in. Get back into your shape when it’s in our half. But then stand off and put no pressure on the ball. Don’t bother following runners off the ball and marking them. When the chance is there to counter or nick the ball. Probably best not to bother and just leave it. Absolutely baffling tactics. They don’t look like they know what they’re doing. Seems like a lack of effort and a load of confusion all blended together.
Stifler
The more time goes on, the more I think people like Simon Jordon are right. He’s a good manager, but he’ll not take us to the next level.

Yet we smashed Arsenal just a week ago at their ground, this performance can’t be excused by transfer windows. It can’t be excused by anything, we got it wrong. We can’t blame PSR for turning up with a chickenshit gameplan and just passively standing off them. Like a slow death just waiting for them to score. Our stand off them approach at the very start of the game set the tone for what's happened. Really really poor.

Hopefully their desire to win the cup inspired the Arsenal wins and they take that attitude into the final rather than the one we're seeing today and far too many times at home this season. Ronson333
Can’t believe we rocked up with this approach. They are massively vulnerable and we stand off them…
Weezertron
Feels like the we're stuck in cycle of needing to have an absolute whopper of a performance every 8 games, for there to be some kind of internal investigation, asking hard questions etc. And then we improve again for a few games and then we get gradually worse again. Rinse repeat.
