huss9
people call it a bad season, but i think its just come to the natural end of a cycle. no matter who we sign, i reckon Eddie goes with the same players for the first 4-6 games before the newbies get starts. the players that let us down last season will still by and large be starting. If Murphy or Elanga are starting on the right you’ve really got to question the judgement of those involved.

Won't have a choice with him cos he ain't getting sold. Need to see if we can recreate the heady days of his run of 6/10 performances at the turn of the year. duo
It's the last year of Murphys' contact so maybe they'll look to cash in 🤷♂️
Keggy_Keagal
There's no reason to keep Murphy . He's offered little this season and it's not like we're in europe so need to meet an homegrown quota.
Tiotes Witch Doctor
If we start the season with Elanga/Murphy on the wing and or Dan Burn at left back, and or Nick Pope in goal, then for me that means lessons haven't been learned.

You'll often see Willock, Pope and Murphy mentioned as exits due to one year left. I think theres an expectation that Burn and Schar are in their final season, but we will take the hit due to their age. Ipswich to take Pope. Coventry to take Murphy. Crystal Palace to take Willock with them having European football next season to contend with.

Interesting it was reported he was given a bump in pay and introduced to the leadership group but we didn't add a year on to protect the asset value. Like many I think the club would move him on but its not going to be a big fee with his age and contract maybe 10m? I’d just about settle for a 6/10 Elanga coming off the bench and starting against lower league opponents in the Cups. I’d find it completely unacceptable if we haven’t upgraded Murphy though with someone who can start the season on the right.
