Fwiw We bought 2 x £81 tickets (1892) for West Ham then got invited into the box.

 

No option to return. Slight reservations about passing them on, especially with the upcoming ST waiting list. More chance of winning the Euro even if you haven't bought a ticket but, reservations, all the same 😂

 

Sold them for £50 each, in the end.

 

I'd wager there won't be many occasions Members get a hold of a ticket then can't go.

I’m pot 2. Expecting to be c.15,000 in the list with an estimated ST in 2067 in time for my 80th birthday.

Supposedly pot one but had an email saying I didn’t auto renew, which I absolutely did set up and double checked. They’ve tried to reassure me that it won’t affect my ST waiting list position but we’ll wait and see.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t actually email everyone, and the waiting list position just appears in the area of the website they mentioned randomly.

Might not even be an emails sent out, this is what the email said when submitting an application:

Just checked personal details - saw my mobile number there and thought it was my queue number, I should be so lucky.

It’s certainly an interesting initiative when you’re going to disappoint 99.5% of your fans for the foreseeable future. 
 

That said, got a feeling I’m going to be sub 100.

I don't think there will be that many in pot 1 like, could be wrong but I'm thinking around 8K

I’m not sure how it will work in future, depends what the mechanisms for moving up (and particularly down/out) will be. 
 

If they sell 250 this year then I’m not sure that reflects an average season or if it’s likely to be less in most future years.

Yeah. The ordering could get very complex with updates. I'd imagine they'll release a trickle each year to keep morale. I suppose if a new stadium or extension gets announced they know they can release 250+ each year til that's built and there'll still be loads of general sale seats left.

If they're replacing 250 people who have jacked in their ST's, then it doesn't really alter the bigger picture for people without ST's.

 

If there's 250 tickets that were available to members last season that now aren't available to members, then it just makes being a member even more difficult than last season. 

 

If we can get to a point where the ground (either SJP or new Sven Adult Books Magpie Megadome) is less dominated by ST's, then I'd be much happier.

 

The era of Season Tickets dominating both home and away attendance needs to come to an end. In the humble opinion of yours truly.

Yep agree, this is why I don't really understand the existence of this waiting list. I'd personally rather just put those tickets on member sale each week (unless I get one obvs). 

 

TBH maybe it's just a theoretical thing they are establishing in the event of more tickets in the future. It might not mean that they are selling more STs.

I think much of this 250 batch is made up of ST tickets like the Dundee schoolkids  and similar that were stripped. I think that was said at some point.

I do feel that one day we’ll be back in the position where a season ticket list isn’t needed and they’ll be able to be purchased as they were under Ashley. Obviously hope I’m wrong (as it would mean the club not performing), maybe it’s my natural pessimism. 
 

Although that situation would obviously benefit me in terms of being able to get an ST.

I'm not sure that's how the maths and probability ratios work in this instance.

That took a fairly long period of complete futility mind, I'm really hoping we never reach that point. It would require PIF to basically give up or sell to a chancer, I guess.
