Gawalls Posted yesterday at 09:42 Share Posted yesterday at 09:42 Now we have target back - didn’t Lewis hall start as LCM out at least he’s played there a few times?

One that is very good on the ball and in general play. Didn’t score many points but that Dembele who used to play for Tottenham would have been the profile I’d be looking at. The Belgian player. Or similar attributes. Miley is a great talent but not property ready quite yet Wharton at palace might be the answer
Keegans Export Posted yesterday at 10:17 Share Posted yesterday at 10:17 I just don't think we can shop in that £50m+ bracket. Or at least we can't do that and fill all the gaps in the squad.

Tiresias Posted yesterday at 10:48 Share Posted yesterday at 10:48 If we have to sell to buy more we need more saleable assets not just 'purples'. We do need to flesh out the squad with promising young players whom either grow into regular first teamers or get sold for solid profit after a couple of seasons. At present almost all the players with value are ones we still can't afford to lose. We are also in the position that if one gets sold the money will go on replacement, whom will tend to take 6 months to adapt to howeball. We need to start bringing in replacements before the sale and that means cheaper bargains not expensive already established players. Such is psr. alexf Posted yesterday at 12:12 Share Posted yesterday at 12:12 Seemed like the only one who could put in a tackle and win possession when he came on. Put the others to shame. It's crazy to think how strong and important he feels now. You watching him last night compared to Longstaff and remember it was only a few months ago you had plenty on here arguing that Longstaff should be playing ahead of him. I get that it wasn't this version of Sandro we were seeing but imagine saying that now. He's integral to our spine now along with Isak.

Never said that. Said on numerous occasions he was more talented only that I trusted Howe judgement at the time and that I could understand why he was being used ahead of Tonali at that period in time. Smart, elegant and very technical player... with 35/40 million you can take him and in two years its valuation will be at least double, trust me. Barella is a great player but he's not that young, he costs a lot and above all he does not fit your style of play. Reijnders would be another perfect player for you but he costs as much as two Ricci and if Milan sold him the Americans should escape from Milano chased by the fans. Yes, Milan and Inter want him but he is perfect for English football and with Tonali next to him on the pitch they would make a stellar midfield. Everyone gets things wrong now and then. Like at the start of December when you said Howe was incapable of fixing our performances before we went on a 9 game winning run and qualified for 2nd cup final in 3 years. He knew Sandro was elite and has built that confidence in him, while also finding his best position and utilization on the pitch. Character building from wor Eddie is outstanding and you were right to say what you did at the time.
