aussiemag
If Kelly's transfer fee is for next season, that wont allow us any move to spend this season other than saving on his 150000000 pound a week wages.
cubaricho
This needs to be 20.

Sibierski
Glad Kelly is off. He’s very average, offers nothing to us and would’ve just been a tough body to get rid of in future. This has Mitchell finger prints all over getting rid of players for good fees that don’t improve the XI.
Holmesy
Was this always a tactical signing for PSR reasons? Sign him on a free and sell him for pure profit?

There’d be nothing in it for us if we did that. It’s probably one of those that’s easily achieved, like ours for Hall. So basically Juventus finish top 10-12 they make it permanent, which will happen.

No. Think it was a player Howe wanted, was low cost and turns out to not be any good. So Mitchell as part of evaluating squad likely worked with Howe and marked him as one of many to be sold within 12 months if a deal is there. Almiron / Willock / Longstaff / Trippier / Wilson / Kelly / Targett / Krafth. They will all be the ones that are moved on by end of August 2025. CheikBoom
Slightly concerned at squad depth, but happy if that’s the price. We’re historically really bad sellers. Good deal all round.
SUPERTOON
Not done yet: Lloyd Kelly theme. Contacts between Juventus and Newcastle have resumed to resolve the gap on payment terms. The private flight booked for the English defender has been delayed by a few hours. The deal is not yet 100% closed despite the verbal agreement reached between the clubs yesterday evening

But judging by twitter people and here (i know) people are dancing and demanding a signing after getting a fee for miggy and kelly The conditions will be met it’ll be something small to protect all parties. Wasn’t wood something daft like 2 games?
loki679
It has to be conditional to allow it to be booked in next seasons accounts iirc. If it's a straight obligation then it's counted as a sale and the costs would be booked immediately. That's why there's always some bullshit 'conditions' like 'Player must have two legs on June 30th' (probably would want to change that for Siem de Jong but you get the drift). We could do a loan with an obligation as well, in theory.
