That was pathetic. I mean, the worst.

Amazing noise when he saved it.

Are you going to answer my lawn question or what?

 To my shame I've never defeated moss. I scarified two years ago but it's all back again now.

That's a very muted walk back to the training room after such a result. That must be someone's decision.

It was over at half time. Once they stopped laughing and decided to let Isak get his goal, it probably felt like a formality.

Loved it how Joelinton was raging at being fouled (7.40 into the match cam) and Trippier had to literally scruff him as if he were a misbehaving kitten [emoji38].

I knew it wasn't a pen last night from the Strawberry Corner... 😉

I was in the Gallowgate and was wondering how it took 5 minutes to decide on something I thought they'd go back and give straight away.

There’s something satisfying about watching “tricky” pen attempts utterly fail.

Just run up and fucking smash it ffs

Surely kicking the ball as hard as possible into the bottom corner from a penalty has to be the easiest action in football? It’s a free shot with nobody anywhere near you. It’s definitely the most low effort/high reward thing.

Penalties are all about technique, and it isn’t necessary to put your laces through it.

The stuttered run-up and the ‘Panenka’ rely on the other party making a mistake, rather than the technique of the taker; that’s their biggest failing.  Neither are the result of good technique, but daft cunts will fawn over them when they come off as if it is the result of the quality of the player - they are the complete opposite.

Shola perfected it.

He did - mainly because he relied on accuracy with a reasonable amount of pace.  Shearer - who had a pretty poor record in games when it mattered - was of the ‘put your laces through it’ school.

Penalties are about nerves/composure first, technique second. It's why you can see in some players' faces they've already missed before starting the run-up.

Just watching the women's champions league semi-final and Arsenal have scored a pen given for the exact situation as the one Palace got!

Keeper came to punch the ball, completely missed and took out the arsenal player. Play goes on and no one thinks anything of it, then VAR calls it back for a pen!

Never seen it before, now 2 in a week!
