My thoughts exactly, seems stupid, i thought the whole point of signing a player for say £10m on a 5 year contract was that they'd then be contacted to you for the next 5 years unless a mutual agreement can be met. Stupid bloody rule, so Owen could move next year and then half our bloody team if they wanted to!!
