Heron
The away goals rule. They might as well have a home goals rule instead these days, with the general levels of silence across most stadia.
Guest
Have a decibelometer. If the home fans get it over a certain level for 60 minutes plus, it's literally worth a goal to the home side.

Foluwashola
Was alright when Spurs did it, now it's just rancid plagiarism. Would definitely get involved with a Colback version though.
Guest
Young Player of the Year. Should be changed so that it's maybe still under 23s, but players who'd maybe only played say 30-50 games before that season. Sod seeing 3 of the same names in the running for both. Been ten years since the same player won it twice and that was Wayne Rooney
Guest
Aye but you often see the same names in the running for both. Like should a 23 year old Hazard be in the running like in 2014 for example when he'd already been around for ages and in his second season here? This season you could have the likes of Lukaku, Sterling & Pogba on there. Maybe change it to Best Newcomer or something where the likes of that Davies at Everton would be in the running. Kaizero
I agree that they shouldn't be in the running for both awards, but have no issue with a player like Hazard being in the running for best young player if he was not in the running for best player. wormy
Think if a player is up for player of the year, they should simply be automatically ruled out for young player of the year.

Stal
"He's not that kind of player" after a terrible tackle/ dive etc. Totally agree with this one. The reporter should follow that up with the question "who is that sort of player?"

M4
It's all part of football just being a blame game. Nobody ever taking responsibility for their actions and blaming the next guy for doing worse.
Figures 1-0 Football
Keane, Souness, Vieira, Gerrard, Rooney, Cattermole, Bardsley, Barton... Out of interest... How many of those have made a terrible tackle that have resulted in a serious injury?
AyeDubbleYoo
One of mine is 'they're X points from safety' when it's nowhere near the end of the season. It's only 'safety' if the season ends today, I hate that turn of phrase.

How many of those have made a terrible tackle that have resulted in a serious injury? Keane on Haaland. Gerrard was very lucky not to have done serious damage to Boateng...Bardsley to Coloccini. I've seen plenty bad tackles from the others at least a few times in their careers to suggest they are 'that type of player'.

Always love that time Rooney kicked Coloccini in the leg and Ben Arfa sprinted 60 odd yards to tell him he's an idiot
