TêteDeMaure
Can't say i've read any articles today, but has one even been offered? To the travelling support, to the support in general? There surely must be one, Roeder not arse licking supporters would be a grand surprise.

Guest stormrider
What are we going to do with that apology anyway.
Dave
Megalink 1 Dyer: "We let ourselves and everyone associated with the club down." Megalink 2 Solano: "We weren't good enough and we've let our great supporters down."' Megalink 3 Given: "What can we say? We've let the fans down again." Megalink 4 Taylor: "I'm absolutely gutted for the fans. They were fantastic all the way through the game, and we're sorry to let them down."
ElDiablo
Same old shit, different season.
TêteDeMaure
So we manage to get a line each from four players. Superb. Steven Taylor widely misses the mark. Still trying to keep his rapport with the fans yet offering nothing from himself or relating to him being shit on the night. Half hearted even in the apology stakes ey. Do they actually give a toss? As someone said, what does an apology change anyway? A large scale one from Roeder on behalf of them all would have been nice, but no, he's too busy blaming a referee that couldn't have been more lenient bar one incident. I know what i'd rather out of shit excuses and an apology anyhow.

Guest elbee909
"We've let everyone down, and would each like to donate a month's wages to charity by way of recompense." Oh I'm sorry, I seem to have quoted from a parallel dimension where an apology and humility means something (no-one said the above, you see, hell having not frozen over or anything). "Taylor: "I'm absolutely gutted for the fans." Should be a bit more gutted for yourself, bunch of patronising twats.
CaliMag
The players become just as gutted as us in some cases. Not all of them are apathetic spoiled brats. I remember losing to Chelsea in the league cup quarter finals 7 (?) years ago to a last minute Hasselbaink goal and Solano was so distraught and frustrated he actually started to cry. It happens, players do actually care sometimes. I would say all four of the players listed above certainly do.

Your attempt at the top might go down well, anything else would be so hollow.
Guest Knightrider
I don't want their pitty nor do I care whether they feel any sympathy or sorrow for fans, I want them to feel ashamed and embarrassed for themselves, not us.

brummie
What I noticed - and this is far from exclusive to Newcastle - was that at the end of the game, the players sort of ventured about as close to the Newcastle fans as the edge of the centre circle, gave a desultory clapping gesture then fucked off. Few things fuck me off more about the modern game than this kind of thing. Show some fucking respect, people travel across Europe to watch you, you fuck it up, at least show some proper gratitude.
