Guest
Materazzi for £3m would be a class signing. Winds the sh*t out of the opposition, exactly what we need.

(The People) Yeah, like they'll let their most important player leave for that amount! Might as well bid £1.99 for Cristiano Ronaldo whilst they're at it. Guest
He's on a Free next summer so not that unlikely.
Chris_R
He's on a Free next summer so not that unlikely. Still, it used to be £500k prize money per Premier League placing, surely he's worth an extra 5 places up the table to them? Especially as that could then determine European football / survival / relegation (Depending on how you see Bolton doing next year). And that's ignoring the fact that prize money has gone through the roof in the last few months with the overseas TV deal. They'd be mad to sell him, better to let him leave on a free and get another year's service out of him.
Guest Triglett
Materazzi is a dirty cnut. Makes Joey Barton looks positively tame. 10 goals in 28 Serie A apps this season though...for a defender...

Dokko
Materazzi is a dirty cnut. Makes Joey Barton looks positively tame. 10 goals in 28 Serie A apps this season though...for a defender... Must be taking pens, either that or the whole of Italian football are letting him have a wonder season as he made sure that France's only possibility to win the World Cup went walking down the tunnel after spectacularly headbutting him! Guest Triglett
Only 3 penalties I think. Rest of them have been from corners, although he scored one stunning overhead kick against Messina.

Guest
He's 34 when the season starts mind. Still, could see him being a Big Sam type. No nonsense, a danger at set-pieces. Even at £3m I'd take him.
midds
Materazzi's a big, horrible, nasty, cynical, rough twat of a player. I'd have him here in a heartbeat.
Guest
Would also make Bellamy's next game at St James' all the more interesting too.
Thespence
Materazzi was shite at Everton, I reckon he will be shite if returns to play in this league. He hasn't got the temperament to handle the Premierleage rough & tumble side, he would collect yellows & red cards every time he played.
Guest
Can't really say I remember him much from Everton but this doesn't sound like he was sh*t. http://www.toffeeweb.com/players/past/Materazzi.html And how many players do you know after a sh*t season, go back to the club they were sold by for more than originally sold? Guest gggg
Materazzi is in no way shite infact at this moment in time I'd rate him above Cannavaro. Could be just the player we need i'd rather have a dirty good player than the useless wimps we've had here. Doubt he'd come though.
Guest
Could teach Taylor a thing or two about how to play act properly as well.
