Guest Gemmill
Bloke at work reckons his came today and it is one of those credit card type things. I would get there early for the first home match, cos there's no fucking chance that these things are gonna work.
ujpest doza
Mine came today as well, but wor lass says it is a book of tickets like it usually is. Mind even though its in front of her she is likely to be wrong.
Skirge
Yeah they are going to be swipe cards, I have signed up with the direct debit cup game scheme too, so now we have to rely on them adding those games to your smart card, I can feel a mass fk up coming on. Masses of fans stuck not being able to get into the ground. postal strike today mind and the Team Valley sorting office, so loads won't be posted. Mowen
Will this not make it significantly more difficult to sell a ticket for a game you're not going to be able to go to?

Defo cards according to this bloke (he's been home and seen his), although I guess it's possible that they're testing it out in certain areas of the ground first or something? And Mowen, yeah, in order to sell your ticket on to someone for a match, you'll have to trust them with your season ticket.
Guest icemanblue
I had the swipe card for a large part of last season. Waste of fucking time. Missed the beginning of 3 matches because of it, and well, the stewards. 'Let's just have a look at your card there sonny' 'Why? It swiped fine and i've now got to get to level 7, take a piss, and find my seat in -2 minutes.' 'Well i'll just type your number in to check it, make sure there aren't any problems.' 5 minutes pass. He's on to the third number. Twats.

So presumably if some 20 year old lad turns up with a pensioner's concessionary ticket (do we do those?), he's gonna have some problems getting in to the ground. Dave
Have they been installing the scanners etc this close-season then, or have they been putting them in and testing them gradually?

Dave
It would have made sense to send out temporary one-match smartcards for the pre-season friendlies, for trial purposes while the stadium isn't going to be filled.
