Newcastle-Online Cup Qualifying Round Replay Result Sexy Time 58-44 Imps We now have our 128 teams for the 1st Round. I'll make the draw early next week. Those ties will be played over GW7. We also now have the top 128 teams who will enter the N-O Champions League. The top seeds end after gonufc, the second seeds after Manchester Bay 99's, the third seeds after PSV Spectrum, and the bottom seeds go down to and including Boz's boys. I may post the full list of each pot if I get time. There will be 32 groups of four featuring one team from each pot. For some reason, I then constructed a format to get us down to 132. That of course is nonsense, as it needs to get down to 128. So we're going to have to have four extra matches as Qualifying games. They'll be one-off matches, and played over GW6. In the event of a tie, the following order of precedence will be used to decide a winner: - total minus BPs - captain's points - total of goalkeeper, and best defender, midfielder and forward - league position I did a random draw of all the 93 teams who had originally been given byes to determine the four matches, and they're as follows: Newcastle-Online Cup Qualifying Round (continued) 40 Waddles Whingers vs GOZTEPE 41 NUFC TP vs Pigs On The Wing 42 Strunken Allstars vs Rob Rovers 43 Kengster Utd vs AIK The four winners, plus the other 39 QR winners, will join the (now) 85 teams with byes, to make up 128 for the 1st Round, which will be played in GW7, as planned. Some important, some less so, points about the groups: - Some team names may be abbreviated as they were too long to fit into my perfectly designed excel spreadsheet! They should be obvious who they are though, and if you're unsure, just ask. - For the purpose of working out who plays who when, the first named team is considered P1, second named P2, and so on. - Some teams have the same name but have slight differences, such as the case of the name or the use of underscores, etc, which I've tried to use so you can tell them apart. Again, ask me if you're unsure. - Someone has two teams inside the top 128, so in the interest of fairness, I've just used that person's highest ranked side.
