Ramos denial follows Spurs denial that they had ever offered anything that could be met with a denial in the first place and deny having ever met Ramos who has since denied that he was ever even tempted by Spurs offer. Whilst Tottenhams offer has been met with a denial the Tottenham board issued a statement claiming that "we deny having been denied by Ramos and deny the veracity of these press reports".
