Howay man, Carrick was fucking toss, again. We looked miles better with Barry in there and individually he was a massive step-up from MC. I thought Lampard was quality tonight, an' all. I'd prefer Hargreaves if I'm being honest. Undoubtedly the first-choice, aye, was just making the point that Carrick should be about 5th in the queue for a CM spot. Anyway, my overall point was that McClaren should have the bottle to drop either Lampard or Gerrard completely, and not shift one to the left or play a fucked up formation. Gerrard vs Lampard? One defensive midfielder is enough.
