Hasn't Routledge been one of the people most supportive of those players expressing discontent at the running of the club on twitter? If by supportive, you mean retweeting (though not commenting on) one of Bartons tweets..... then yes. He has said stuff like wanting to write a book telling the real goings on at the club and about being messed about by the club.

Basic management would tell you if you lie to your employees, offer them something which never happens, and renegade on agreements mean your employees moral will reduce, work ethic will become worse and not just with the person directly concerned.

If there is unrest then there's nothing that can be done about it, letting everyone know in stupid little snippets only makes people question what's going on, causes general confusion and a massive backlash against either the player himself or the board. Same here, surely he'll get the club to fund itself so that he can start to recoup his loan and probably purchase price then sell us on for a nice hefty profit. Of course the more obvious action for him to take is to float the club yet again and try and make a profit that way whilst keeping a share for himself.
