  1. I'll be worried if he's our only cover for Colo and Taylor, if we do indeed sign him.

I'd get in touch with them about your Magpie mover as I don't know how much the club deal with that it'll be all Nexus I'd imagine.
  3. All this title change nonsense is exactly what i was on about in the Barton thread.
  4. He had bother attacking as obertan was 3 yards from him rather than getting into a position so he could play him in. We were left with Simpson making runs then having 3 men round him. Nobody can attack like that.
  5. Think I watched a different guy to some on here. He appeared scared of the ball at times and his runs were always the same from the right wing to the left hand corner. It seemed strange that he didnt want to overlap down the right and stayed within 2 yards of anyone making runs down the right. This made it difficult especially for Simpson who made the runs by then had no one to give the ball to. He was the exact player I'd seen for Man U I'm really hoping getting games improves him but he's what I expected so far.
  6. No noubt of him so another wait and see if this is true.

Like I said no problems with title changes when something major happens but not for every minor change and tabloid rumour requested by people within the thread. Maybe if people just stopped asking for the changes it would be better just seems cheeky to expect it and complain if it doesn't happen instantly. People would think we work full time on here lol

So what noubts happened since and again why should the mods be just expected to do it? Don't think I know another forum where any updates are made on threads let alone when requests are made/demanded

Why do people insist on title changes? It's a forum people read the threads surely. Not sure about rest of mods but I have better things to do than read all the threads and updating titles as people request lol Sometimes if I'm out I'll refresh the football forum on my phone if I expect some news to happen, don't want to go into each thread for news. I can't be the only one. Which is fair enough and mods usually change big threads when something changes like say if Barton left, but people request every slight change and response. It's crazy really no idea why people just seem to expect it to happen.

  12. Apologies for my quoting my phone appears to have forgotten how
  13. Thought I wouldn't be far off with 2014 so if in 5 years all debts aren't paid off then Ashley has proved himself to be worse than shepherd financially, that's amusing The £43 million that was secured on ticket sales and hospitality receipts, was due to be repaid by 2016. There were also several other loans totalling £23 million that were repayable at various times up to 2010.
  14. If that was the payments being made I don't see the problem? Struggling to envisage a reality where NUFC would have been a position (under Shepherd) to pay back £55m stadium redevelopment loan by 2014.
  15. Has anyone got details of when the original loan deal FS organised for the stadium expansion would have ended just I have in my head 2014 which suggests this whole Ashley holding the loan has been a told waste of time and money
  16. Wasn't it simply that this money was the overdraft Ashley had to cover and so made it that it had to be repaid after one year.
  17. My guess is they will have a backup of a loan deal for a left back should the deal for whichever left back is cheapest does not come off. I think it's more likely going to be a loan for Patrick van aanholt than wayne bridge for the simple cost reason again. I also don't expect a striker as we have 4 in the squad. As others have said I'll be happy to be proved wrong.
  18. I think we can easily make changes without it being a team full of inexperienced kids with the likes of Harper, Williamson, Best, Marveaux, Ferguson and Gosling needing time.
  19. It'll never work unless the club provide the scarves to all the fans like they did for that game, and that'll probably not happen again after thieving kunts started trying to steal boxes of the scarves off the folks giving them out.
  20. It's the stripes fault LOL http://www.readytogo.net/smb/showthread.php?t=619797
  21. Oh buggering f***. not really doesnt he have two years left on his deal? The bigger worry is if small fry like Danny Simpson won't agree to the terms of the contract how on earth will we get someone half decent in to replace. Ah thats right we don't replace.

Depends if we lose our next 3 matches due to this incompetence. Well we've already drawn with Arsenal, so not a bad start. Come on Ian that wasn't what I said Ryan Taylor not getting skinned and costing us the match in one game is lucky, over 4 games would be incredible.
  23. My issue is that time and effort were wasted on something we really don't need, at a time when we don't have one left back at the club and our "strikers" can't score for f***. You really think we've just stopped on the other two possible deals to sign this lad don't you. It's absurd. Not really no but the whole point is that this a pointless transfer. Say Harper is injured and Krul gets sent-off...are you happy with Soderberg or Alnwick stepping in? Most clubs have 3 senior keepers on their books. Even Sunderland signed another keeper despite having Gordon & Mignolet. When you put it that way, I guess signing Elliot makes sense. But I'd rather he was used as the third choice keeper instead of 2nd choice (which seems to be the plan if he does sign). Surely if we were that concerned about injuries and suspensions we could have saved ourself another wage by not letting Forster go to Celtic for a season ? Forster wouldn't have agreed to that. Plus, won't Celtic by paying Forster's wages? Forster wouldn't have a say he has a contract at the club. Who's to say he's to be sat on the bench, a moment ago Krul was getting suspended and Harper injured whats to say he doesn't get and keep his chance ? To many players unwilling to fight for their places now a days. Bet Hart's happy he fought for his place at Man City. It's quite clear players hold a lot of power these days. There's no point holding players against their will. Too many players may be unwilling to fight for their places but that's the way it is. Hart fighting for his place at Man City involved a few loans as well fwiw. I was talking more about when Given signed, he appeared to have got the first team then Given came in. Rather than just buggering off he stayed there and made the spot his own. It was plain to see from pre season that Harper won't be first choice this year. From that should have been enough for Forster to say that he'd fight to make the number 1 spot his own. If it was entirely down to him not willing to have that fight I'd have sold him rather than the loan.
