I thought he said 'we'd be no better off'. Why are you believing what he said this time though? He's proven to be a liar, can't believe anything he says etc etc Why are you trying so hard to make this window seem as some big success ? Because it was? Shearmagic you are clearly either delusional or a WUM If it's the former wake up my friend, we are all being taken for a massive ride How was it not a success? We didn't bring a striker in, arguably our only failure. We've improved the midfield and the defence is playing the best it has in a long, long time. Teams with the quality in midfield that we have don't come close to getting relegated, mission successful. Not every team fulfils their goals in the transfer window, there's plenty of other teams that didn't fill positions that they wanted/needed to. We also didn't bring in a centre back so if we lose taylor to injury (usually happens) we have no recognised replacement to slot in there.

Is Mike Ashley the worst person ever to have been associated with NUFC?

Cracking news we get to spend years living within our means not looking for Europe or trophies as that might mean we have to spend some cash. But hey what does trying to win things mean when Ashley can be in profit WAHOOOOOOO Some people have to accept that we're a mid-table club - which is actually quite good considering our position (you know, newly promoted etc) Sorry if I'd rather accept that we finished mid table last year, got rid of dead wood and could have actually improved the squad with the funds that were made available due to the sale of key players. It's how a club should progress by improving each year. I'm not expecting us to be fighting for Europe this year but I am expecting the club to try and improve the squad to eventually get there, not sit round looking for profit. -

I can see you've tried hard to make good of the bad situation but the fact is Pardew said we needed a striker in and a centre back and we got neither. The club did a carbon copy of the January window making bids/pretending to make bids for players we were not going to get. If Colo or taylor get injured we are basically fucked at the back with no cover. Lose best as well and where will we get our goals from, Shola ? The squad is weaker than it was, though yeah maybe your right the first team might be a little stronger in certain areas. But the club this summer has not done enough not by a long chalk. -
Williamson? or did you mean right now? Now and the next 7 weeks, plus any other time one gets injured/suspended
-
I'll be worried if he's our only cover for Colo and Taylor, if we do indeed sign him.
-
I'd get in touch with them about your Magpie mover as I don't know how much the club deal with that it'll be all Nexus I'd imagine.

All this title change nonsense is exactly what i was on about in the Barton thread.
-
He had bother attacking as obertan was 3 yards from him rather than getting into a position so he could play him in. We were left with Simpson making runs then having 3 men round him. Nobody can attack like that.
-
Think I watched a different guy to some on here. He appeared scared of the ball at times and his runs were always the same from the right wing to the left hand corner. It seemed strange that he didnt want to overlap down the right and stayed within 2 yards of anyone making runs down the right. This made it difficult especially for Simpson who made the runs by then had no one to give the ball to. He was the exact player I'd seen for Man U I'm really hoping getting games improves him but he's what I expected so far.
-
No noubt of him so another wait and see if this is true.

Like I said no problems with title changes when something major happens but not for every minor change and tabloid rumour requested by people within the thread. Maybe if people just stopped asking for the changes it would be better just seems cheeky to expect it and complain if it doesn't happen instantly. People would think we work full time on here lol
-
So what noubts happened since and again why should the mods be just expected to do it? Don't think I know another forum where any updates are made on threads let alone when requests are made/demanded
-
Why do people insist on title changes? It's a forum people read the threads surely. Not sure about rest of mods but I have better things to do than read all the threads and updating titles as people request lol Sometimes if I'm out I'll refresh the football forum on my phone if I expect some news to happen, don't want to go into each thread for news. I can't be the only one. Which is fair enough and mods usually change big threads when something changes like say if Barton left, but people request every slight change and response. It's crazy really no idea why people just seem to expect it to happen.

Thought I wouldn't be far off with 2014 so if in 5 years all debts aren't paid off then Ashley has proved himself to be worse than shepherd financially, that's amusing The £43 million that was secured on ticket sales and hospitality receipts, was due to be repaid by 2016. There were also several other loans totalling £23 million that were repayable at various times up to 2010.
-
If that was the payments being made I don't see the problem? Struggling to envisage a reality where NUFC would have been a position (under Shepherd) to pay back £55m stadium redevelopment loan by 2014.
-
Has anyone got details of when the original loan deal FS organised for the stadium expansion would have ended just I have in my head 2014 which suggests this whole Ashley holding the loan has been a told waste of time and money
-
Wasn't it simply that this money was the overdraft Ashley had to cover and so made it that it had to be repaid after one year.
-
My guess is they will have a backup of a loan deal for a left back should the deal for whichever left back is cheapest does not come off. I think it's more likely going to be a loan for Patrick van aanholt than wayne bridge for the simple cost reason again. I also don't expect a striker as we have 4 in the squad. As others have said I'll be happy to be proved wrong.

I think we can easily make changes without it being a team full of inexperienced kids with the likes of Harper, Williamson, Best, Marveaux, Ferguson and Gosling needing time. -
It'll never work unless the club provide the scarves to all the fans like they did for that game, and that'll probably not happen again after thieving kunts started trying to steal boxes of the scarves off the folks giving them out.
