June 2010 would mean he's out of contract
-
Has he played any level for Spain? Just hoping for 5 years in England then we have englands new left back
-
I'm confused by that cause he had a 3 match suspension which is why he's missed most of the games because he was on the fringe of the first team at the start of the season.

Yep Perch got caught a few times iirc He'd get caught out no matter what formation or tactics -
Is Danny Simpson fit now like?

Carrick was actually at the club, he left after Keegan scraped the reserves. Think your wrong think he went from Wallsend to West Ham wasnt at Newcastle
-
Leon Knight going a tad mental on twitter accusing R+D of all sorts

Play him through the middle though not out wide might even help jonas out
-
What does that say ?
-
So he says racism is complicated. He went to a Newcastle game as a fan and got a fantastic impression. Put it in the Guardian converter and that means Newcastle fans are all racist bastards.
-
New stories but same as previous if that makes any sense.

It's just like a loan really though. Exactly, you'd want your players to play as much as possible. It's a good move from us if true though Depends though, if it was loan to gain experience and then come back, yes. But it's not it's a loan to see if we like the guy and if we do we buy him for an agreed fee if not we don't. The only real difference is that after 25 games of him playing, if we like him or not we're stuck with him.

Where exactly is this rumoured btw?

If you're talking about transfer funding, not a chance. The two businesses are likely ring-fenced from one another, with several liability, and any payments would be at market value (or an undervalue). Chances are that sponsors are not knocking down the door to advertise there, otherwise it would be a valuable source of revenue, given how many of our games that Sky is likely to show. I'd wager that they'll stay until a better offer comes along. You think ? It's outside the ground isn't it ? Not much in terms of your advert appearing on sky so really appeal wouldn't be that high I wouldn't think.

I think many of us on here agree Barton and Guthrie are our most creative CM. If he is going to play a 3 in the middle im sure most on here would agree they would rather see They are also two of the worst at giving the ball away. Listing any of those combination of midfielders shows how crap our centre midfield is.
-
That's not the point though is it. They are wanting us (allegedly) to commit to buying him at the end of season if we stay in the Premiership. So if he has a crap season, or is an arsehole, we would still have to fork out £5m or whatever to buy him if that clause exists. That doesn't sound like good business sense to me. Right...then let's move onto the next rising young superstar who we can pick up on a loan if this one falls through. No doubt Hughton has a queue of clubs lining up to loan us their hot prospects. What is everyone panicking for? Hindu Times makes a very good point in the NUFC Transfer Rumours thread, he said we wouldn't even have known about this deal if it wasn't for OM's Chairman coming out and telling the press everything. So for all we know the club are working behind the scenes on signing some players that we don't have a club about.
-
Depends if that money meant we couldn't buy any other player for the team due to high wages plus the fee.
-
It won't happen, I've no doubts. Wish it would though. I wouldn't say it's a possible exception of our right back either I'd say its a cert. Our right back position is awful even with Simpson back. I worry about it with Downing bombing down it on Sunday.

I know. People just haven't got this through their heads and we've been discussing it for 5 years now. The midfield has to have a reasonable level of posession and ability to support the attack, end of story. Also came from great management. A great manager always gets more out of the players. We never had fantastic defenders under KK, we just kept the ball down the other end of the field.
-
If he does then fair enough I'd be happier with that.
-
I know and I agree and with a manager who would deploy those tactics great, but I can't see it from past experience.
