All this time and I hadn't realised Kane played for Norwich.

Probably not the place for it, but I watched Toney every week for Scunthorpe, and even at that level he still looked like a kid. Obviously he bossed it, but looking at him now he looks like a completely different player. There's no way he would have come into the Newcastle team at the time and got to the level he is now. He looks like an absolute beast now.

Doesn't this make the Digne sale a bit weird? Surely the Everton board already had it in their mind to sack Rafa if results didn't improve, so why not keep Digne until the end of the window? More to that story than meets the eye I think.

Because you’re asking us to name a player out of hundreds around the world. We couldn’t possibly know if they’d feel the same as two players currently at man united. You’re basically claiming the best striker in world football who would come here is Chris Wood?

why is this so difficult? ok, in my opinion, long term, despite how loved he is on here, and how good he’s been recently, Joelinton doesn’t play a role in a successful team. my OPINION is we need two central midfielders and a number 10, and Joelinton drops out the team. I’m not saying it’s going to happen. last time…. I’m not saying we should drop him based on our current squad. I’m saying I personally wouldn’t keep him in the team based on the transfers I’d hope to see.

Of course it’s a valid argument, but none of us know these players on a personal level so how could anyone suggest a player without you using it as an argument?

This is hard work. I mean long term, I don’t mean next week. We need two new brand new central midfielders and a new 10. Joelinton does not fit into that team. Obviously with our current squad I wouldn’t drop him.

You’re missing the point. I’m saying buy two new central midfielders, and probably a number 10. Joelinton doesn’t fit in that midfield. shelvey, Hayden, Longstaff’s, hendrick all needed releasing.
