  1. The judge is a complete wind up merchant! I like him, better than all the “I’m right you’re wrong” crew. Stop being wrong then. Grow up dude

  3. My Dad is a Blues fan How does this happen? A lad I know his father is a Spurs fan yet he's an Arsenal fan. I simply wouldnt have been allowed to support Sunderland like. I'd probably have gotten away with supporting someone else but not Sunderland. Yeah but this city has 3 clubs in it, families are split, too. Ah fair enough, I guess its more polarized up here with Newcastle and Sunderland being one club cities. My dad’s a Villa fan. His dad was a Birmingham fan. His uncle was a wolves fan and his cousins all West Brom fans. Proper weird.
  4. Timing wise, looks like it. He was the most positive about it happening hence why I questioned these two. Are you a policeman ? And don’t re write history you said nothing was happening and mocked certain posters for believing it was. As for deleting your account, that would be the most positive thing since version 2.0 failed. Ha, love you too I didn’t believe anything was happening. Other than what I heard last night about the government putting pressure on, I’m still not convinced much is happening. Honestly hope you’re right though. You started back at college ok btw?
  5. Exactly step forward your friends at NUST who seem to have given up and gone on holiday. I’m completely out of order on that, apparently. Which one of you two was Godzilla on here? That’ll be Cheesy beans, however more to the point do you now accept the takeover wasn’t dead ? Your credibility along with a few other on here is now zero. Maybe you should delete your account and come back as Frank Pingel, oh hold on that’s already taken, maybe Rob McDonald he was pretty useless aswell. What are you on about? I said the takeover wouldn’t happen. I’m right. Why would you ask someone to delete their account? Bit weird that. You are (sort of) "right so far", but we all need to wait for the final outcome and (as Ashley's recent statement shows very clearly) we are nowhere near that stage yet. Well obviously, hence why this thread still gets posts. I’m pretty certain we’re close to that stage now though
  6. Timing wise, looks like it. He was the most positive about it happening hence why I questioned these two. Mental fucker, what was he hoping to achieve with that? Guess it was his way of disconnecting with the club. I certainly wouldn’t follow them this season if I wasn’t on here.

  8. Exactly step forward your friends at NUST who seem to have given up and gone on holiday. I’m completely out of order on that, apparently. Which one of you two was Godzilla on here? Do you agree with their decision to call Masters ‘sincere’ and call off the protests which were gaining traction against the PL? Genuinely interested to hear the other thoughts. It’s a complete and utter cock up from my point of view. Is it not at all the same as when Rafa left? Asked for members to take action and united voices are better etc. etc. Then a total U-turn, refused any sort of protest and was trying to help the club flog tickets by January. Was it you then? Why the change? Was what me? You didn’t answer my question... So you weren’t the forum poster Godzilla who deleted their account and came back? Yep, NUST should do more. I don’t agree with their handling of this. I reckon more will come out about Masters and they’re gonna look a bit foolish. That ok? No, that definitely wasn’t me. And yeah, great Glad we agree. I’m pretty certain the only thing we didn’t agree on is the influence of the piracy issue, and me stating the takeover won’t happen?
  9. What’s your thoughts on what would be considered a success this season btw? Got to improve on our league position now we have better attacking options surely?

  14. Think we all did. He did his ankle ligaments against Arsenal, didn't realise he broke his leg too.
  15. extensions just mean we are looking to sell when we can at this club Not 5 year extensions. If they're looking to sell him they'd give him a 2 or 3 year deal tops.
  16. So...... I’ve been in a pub with a Tory mp tonight. He’s told me that the government told the PL to let this go through and they refused, but pressure is still on.
  17. Well, they would say that (the PL) wouldn't they? So now Ashley is the one to believe? Fuck it, let him stay.
  18. From what I recall you've spent a the past month and a half shouting down anyone who dared to suggest that the deal might not be completely dead and that talks were possibly happening in the background. Yesterday's statement proves that was actually happening, that it clearly wasn't dead. What's it going to take for you to admit that you were wrong? PIF hadn't really gone away last time, so what makes you so sure they have this time? Well it actually doesn't prove it at all. It's a Mike Ashley statement which doesn't mention ongoing talks. But still, what I've actually been "shouting" about is the fact that the PL would reject it, so technically I'm spot on. So what's it going to take for you to admit it's over? The club being sold to someone else or a CAS case being lost. Staveley, the Ruben Brothers and PIF don't strike me as the type of people / organisations to just give up. I think it's highly likely that they will continue to work towards a solution. Even if they don't, I think the club is likely to appeal the decision with or without them. Without them though the takeover can't happen, so what would the club be appealing? Have to be clear here, I really don't want to be right. I hope I'm completely wrong and the takeover happens. The club have the right of appeal against the PL's decision to disqualify PIF. Ahh sorry, I misunderstood your "with or without them" line. So what would the overall goal be of that? To convince PIF to actually come back in (thus removing the "without them" part)?

  20. Only this, from the BBC. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40928467 Its suggests the deal was resubmitted (presumably as part of the appeal process) as a personal investment by Jisheng Gao, and then it was approved. PL comment: A spokesman for the Premier League said: "As with any change of control at a Premier League club, we have checked the sources and sufficiency of funding in place to acquire the shares, and been provided with a detailed business plan showing the new owners can sustain the club going forward. "We have also conducted the Owners' and Directors' Test, which includes detailed background checks on any individual proposing to acquire more than 30% of shares in a club, or to be a director on the club's board." So suggests this one was originally rejected to worries over ongoing funding/running of the club.... which is what the O&D test is supposed to be about. Thanks for that.
