Various: N-O has lost the plot over potential end of Mike Ashley's tenure
Shearergol replied to Jinky Jim's topic in Football
♫ ♬ I feel it in my fingers... Fun fact (or not). The song that replaced that wet wet wet song after shitloads of weeks at number 1 was take that with back for good. The underlying chords are exactly the same. Not saying Barlow is a copying cunt but...... Whigfield's Saturday night replaced it in the charts, followed by "Sure" by Take That. Back for Good was a year later. So fun fact (or not) is actually "or not" -
Correct. Is there another current PL manager with a worse record than that? Daniel Farke. You asked, I answered. Yeah, I knew when I saw who had answered what sort of answer it would be.
-
Are they? He was absolute dogshit at Scunny last season.

Did I hear right that Bruce hasn't won 3 consecutive premier league games for over 10 years?
-
He hasn’t got the tactical knowledge or the balls to change it. He’s an absolute fraud.

Someone compared it to us sacking Bobby because he finished 5th, which I think is a really good comparison. They're going to be mid-table fodder for the next few years. Some similarities yes, but think it was more a case that they never really adequately replaced the spine of the team...Toure/Vieira/Henry, and just went for a succession of light weight technical players over the years, and for all the improvement in the league since then, there is still a place for gritty hard working players, who have a never defeated attitude. Has to be a balance of course but I can't think of an Arsenal player that another player would be 'frightened' of going up against I'm convinced Anelka ruined Arsenal. They bought him for £500k and sold him on for £27m or something with everyone saying how much of a genius Wenger was. After that he seemed to become obsessed with signing nobodies in an effort to discover the next diamond in the rough. If they'd balanced their transfer policy with some big name established players I think we'd be looking at a different Arsenal today. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Henrikh Mkhitaryan Alexandre Lacazette Mesut Özil Mikel Arteta Per Mertesacker These are the only "big name" signings I can think of over the last 9-10 years for them, so I reckon you're right. If you compare it to the other "big" PL clubs who make 2-3 big name signings every year Arsenal have fallen behind. Sanchez. Fuck, how did I forget him?

I don't think Bruce will want to change anything tbh I reckon he'll make quite a few changes. Villa, then City, then Bournemouth in next 7 days. Does Bruce do squad management? Genuine question. -
Raul Sanllehi and Kia Joorabchian are good friends - the whole thing needs investigating. Didn't realise Kia Joorabchian was Coutinho's agent

Aren't they from last week? -
What, 14 appearances? Seems a bit random.
-
Who the fuck made that decision?
-
Best news this season.
-
What type of player is he? Don't think I've ever even heard of him.
-
The commentators said the other day that both Sheff United and Newcastle were firm favourites for relegation at the start of the season, despite that being utter bollocks. We were actually 9th favourites for relegation, but it's being used to justify Bruce doing a great job.
