Is Aguero on the bench?

Horrid for Chelsea.

City need a striker on the pitch, they’d be winning this easily

Various: N-O has lost the plot over potential end of Mike Ashley's tenure
Shearergol replied to Jinky Jim's topic in Football
We don't have new owners yet though. Yeah that’s what the discussion is, is this a Ashley is staying decision or not. The club still has to keep going, offering new contracts isn't relevant to the takeover. It isn't in the interests of Ashley/Charnley to lose players they consider assets, when there's still the potential for this deal to later fall through and them have lost said assets. it's amazing how many people think everything stops at a business when a takeover is happening. Purchases and contract negotiations are usually frozen during a takeover of a business. In Football Manager, real life is a tad different i guess. No outside of football, in business. No idea about football takeovers though -

Yeah, the danger of someone swooping in for Carroll and Manquillo was real. I also hear Gillespie was being pursued by some seriously big names, so we had to get in quick for that one. -
3 years until the next takeover rumour then.
-
He's on £30k basic salary which is enhanced per appearance/goal etc.
-
Been linked with him for months now. Hard to sign decent 3rd choice keepers though, so meh.

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Keith Andrews appointed at Brentford
Shearergol replied to cp40's topic in Football
There's one for the unpopular opinion thread TBF, nowt against him personally, he just scored memorable and important goals against us. Maybe that's it, maybe I actually hated him. I can't actually remember -

Used to like Ian Woan as a player. -
Oh, completely. I'd include some of them in the "ditch them when we're mega rich" list too.
-
His shit decision to play a terrible cross field ball led to their goal though.

You are full on weird you like. As is your relentless defence of Bruce in the teeth of stats, reason and overwhelming opposition from the vast majority. (Aside from Butcher, I cant think of anyone else) No what is weird is the relentless anger that Bruce triggers in you lot. It's f***ing weird. If I was saying Bruce was a good manager and I wanted him to stay, then the goon squad would have a point. But I'm not. Clearly post after post, I've said he's not a good manager and we need a new manager next season. How many times do I have to type it to get into your thick skulls? No ones angry as far as I can see. But you are ‘projecting’ your inner anger onto others here and then saying it’s them who are angry. I just find the energy and time you spend on defending him time after time in the face of such overwhelming odds a bit strange. I’d love to know the real reason for it. Is it because he’s a proper Geordie? Are you related? Personal friend? There’s definitely something at play here. Tell me a single thing I said that was angry? Anger: "feeling or showing strong annoyance, displeasure, or hostility." That is this thread. You were posting in Sheff Utd thread about sacking Bruce straight away after the win. Seems pretty fucking angry to me. Enjoy your little circle jerk, about the fat fucking cunt. Shit manager. Done a shit job getting to 39 points after 31 games. Fuming we're 12 points clear of the relegation zone. Fuming we're 4 points better off than this stage last season. Not happy we're only lost 3 homes games this season. Should be zero. We are safe. Comfortably safe. I'm leaving it at that. Excellent. The rest of us can have a chat about how shite he is in peace now then.

I hate coconut but I'm not angry about it.

The whole thread is mostly posters saying they hate/dislike Bruce, saying he's a fat cunt. I don't understand why people are stressing so much when we're comfortably safe. Insane to me. He won't be the manager next season. I'd suggest you should maybe just avoid the thread if it winds you up so much? I'll post where and when I want. As will everyone else making points about his shit managerial record. That's how the forum works. Stop getting so angry about it.

♫ ♬ I feel it in my fingers... Fun fact (or not). The song that replaced that wet wet wet song after shitloads of weeks at number 1 was take that with back for good. The underlying chords are exactly the same. Not saying Barlow is a copying cunt but...... Whigfield's Saturday night replaced it in the charts, followed by "Sure" by Take That. Back for Good was a year later. So fun fact (or not) is actually "or not" Isn't Love Is All Around Me actually a song about Marti Pellow being on the skag. The first verse should say "brown" where it says "love", but the censors made them change it. It was the soundtrack to a million teenage fingerblast sessions during 1994, but it's a junkie anthem and parents were not happy when they found this out. Or not. You reckon the Troggs wrote a song about future Wet Wet Wet? -

Correct. Is there another current PL manager with a worse record than that? Daniel Farke. You asked, I answered. Yeah, I knew when I saw who had answered what sort of answer it would be. So you don't like the correct answer I gave? I think most other posters would have been able to ignore managers who have had less than a single season in the league. Not exactly a fair comparison is it. So it wasn't the type of correct answer you wanted? Well this is painful. Well done on naming a factually correct answer to your interpretation of my question, fucking brownie points for you today. Ok, next question. Are there any established premier league managers, who have managed hundreds of games in the league, waiting anywhere near 10 years to achieve the astounding, almost impossible task of winning 3 games on the bounce? But yeah, I could go and do my own research, because I am actually interested in knowing how Bruce compares to other managers; perhaps if other managers have the same issues winning 3 games in a row I'll change my judgement on Bruce a little, which surely you'd be happy with? I'm not sure comparing him with a manager of a team who were clear favourites for relegation, with less than a full season under his belt does that. Oh, be right back, I'm off to get you a badge for your correct answer. Bruce isn't a good manager. We all know this. He's done okay this season. That's the full story. That isn't anything like what I asked though? Don't worry, I'll go look myself. Why are you bothered? Why are you getting worked up about it. WE ARE SAFE FROM RELEGATION. WE ARE ON 39 POINTS WITH 7 GAMES TO GO. Who gives a fuck about Bruce's previous record? What does that have to do with the present moment? His job was to keep us up, he has done that. End of. Would you mind PMing me a list of other things I'm allowed to and not allowed to talk about or ask please? I missed your original meeting. You sound a bit angry btw, take some deep breathes.

Are they? He was absolute dogshit at Scunny last season. He played for Bolton last season, this season he hasn’t even had a club. Ah, unless you mean Jak, not sure where he was. I did mean Jak (who was at Scunthorpe on loan from Rangers). I stopped reading after "Alnwick"
