  1. Yes! Best transfer so far.
  2. who? Sure we could find someone in Europe for £20m Who? Lacazette maybe, but again he's not proven in this league and would cost more than that. Aside that there are hardly any about. Players cost a premium, he's shown he can score in this league. Berahino has scored 17 non penalty goals in 88 Premiership appearances (3 assists). £21m (and probably go higher) man. No way That's fine but who is the alternative? Lewandowski
  3. Should see if they'll sell us Reus for £12m as well. By there's some smart arses on here lately, not followed him much this season but just seen his scoring record so far However transfremarkt has his value at £24.5m Are you whooshing everyone here?
  4. So you wouldn't replace dummett at this stage? Or buy a goal scorer?
  5. We need a striker who knows this league. Far too risky at this stage bringing anyone else in.
  6. Aye, screams panic. I've said it before - signing so many first team players in January I don't think is the best thing to do in the short term. Although I think if you are going down that path - it's better if the players are familiar with the PL. You keep massively missing the point. We're signing more players because the current ones are taking us down. We're not signing them simply for adding more players. You seem to think adding better players now is worse than carrying on with what we've got, based on your project management courses. It seems to me, in the PL or perhaps modern football. Most people think the only way for a team to improve is to spend money and buy better players. The more - the better. Different manager, different tactics, players understanding tactics better, better teamwork, players developing etc. When has a team kept a manager, signed a boatload of new players in January and dramatically improved? I'm thinking of the great escapes in the PL. Wigan, Sunderland, Leicester, Palace, Villa etc. it was never down to signing 4-5 first team players in January. Sometimes 1 or 2 new signings, more often a new manager but never the 4-5 signings for the first 11 we are looking to make in total. So to be clear - i'm not advocating sticking with what we are doing, I just don't think signing 5 first team players is the only or right answer. At a certain point every additional signing - the impact to the team diminishes. Questions get raised tactically by their introduction, they need to understand the team and tactics, the team needs to understand them, the manager has to figure the team out etc. From a playing staff perspective I think really good 1 or 2 signings is best for immediate impact. An Anelka. Vidic & Evra. Only time a raft of new signings has improved a team is for Harry Redknapp - who seems to feed off it. He'll end up not playing most of them anyway. He's not a manager keen on tactics. And the last time he did it, his team got relegated. You could have Pep in charge with a midfield consisting of Colback and Anita and we'd still be down there. We should have signed better players in summer, but we ignored glaringly obvious weaknesses and hired a shit manager. The only way to sort that is by bringing better players in now and bringing a better manager in (and knowing that we won't do the latter we're relying on the new players). It's obvious to most people why we're buying in January.

Wasn't very good yesterday to be honest.
  8. Is Bony interested in leaving the best team in the league to come here btw?
  9. huh? Isn't that what City paid for Bony? £28m wasn't it??
  10. who? Sure we could find someone in Europe for £20m like In January? Not as easy as you make out.
  11. Yep, and he'll retain that value anyway, for those concerned about money.
  12. Would he keep us up? If so he's worth that much.

  14. How times have changed when Stoke are a more attractive club than Newcastle. They're not.
  15. Nowhere near I would've thought roy likes young midfielders though....
  16. Loftus-cheek looks huge. Is he on the verge of an England call up soon?
  17. I'd pay £30m for him. Not like we'd be spending in on improving the ground or anything.
  18. I'm absolutely convinced we'd do anything to sign berahino, but I'm also convinced it's never going to happen. This is one example where people can't be dubious about the club trying. Pay £25m for him and we'd get that back if it doesn't work out anyway.
  19. Craig bellamy's stats were rubbish too.
  20. Don't worry, some posters will be here soon who have watched every single game he's played in. It's not hard to watch La Liga Don't know why you are being so dismissive. Because unless he's playing every week, on TV, and is one of the best players on the pitch, most people wouldn't remember him. I watch the premiership every week, but I couldn't give a rating to West Ham's left back (for example) for this season. Maybe some people watch every team every week, but meh. No one is going to give a run down of his life story man Just that it's possible seeing as he's playing in La Liga some will have seen him and know what he's capable of to a certain extent. I don't really need to say anything because the Balague tweet already summed it up but it's hardly like he's been playing in Mexico. We'll see :-D
