Not sure what he's trying to achieve, unless it's a ploy to get the fans off his back.

Portsmouth FC in yet more trouble - administration again?
Shearergol replied to GG's topic in Football
They're obviously trading whilst insolvent. Legal? -
Jose Enrique out for at least three weeks with hamstring injury
Shearergol replied to a topic in Football
I had a grade two hamstrong strain and I was back playing within 4 weeks, without the help of a professional football club to get me fit again. He should be out for a couple of weeks, max, unless it's a grade three. -
Wasn't sure where to post this, but some very frank views from the Peterborough chairman about their current league position.... http://www.theposh.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10427~1943993,00.html

I'll host their website for free if they really want. -
Yep. Although the chairman is in the top twenty richest men in football in the UK, he doesn't have to spend a penny as the club over the last few years has taken in a huge income. Selling players like Sharp, Keogh, Paterson etc, as well as a couple of Wembley visits and promotions has helped - if it wasn't for that, Scunny would be massively in debt. Very small club, but very successful on the scale of things. There's no way that a club which has an average of attendance of about 4000 people should be debt free. Wolves are also debt free (or were at the start of the season).

Newcastle are the 3rd best supported team in Scotland
Shearergol replied to Stifler's topic in Football
Third best supported English team in Scotland I think. -
No Hooper?
-
It's the Brian Laws effect. Every club he has left has got better. Can't believe they even spoke to him, let alone appointed him.
-
Could still afford to fly though. When do they lose their 10 points?
-
Nasty challenge from Lua Lua there. I'm struggling to work out who he thinks he's tackling though.

Is Chloe Everton the same Chloe Everton who was on Shipwrecked? If so, I've got her on facebook.

Lazy with bad attitude...occasionally good but more often than not, anonymous. And i've definitely seen him more than you. I'm sure you have. I was basing that purely on 3 televised games this season and his goals tally in a bad team. He was awful against Scunny tbh, so not sure why you're basing your opinion on that game.

Pick one player signed by Newcastle United for money...
Shearergol replied to Howaythelads's topic in Football
If we offered them all the same wages, they'd probably all come tbh. -
Is it not obvious by now that Ronaldo is always just looking for bites? Nobody in their right mind would try to defend Allardyce's time with us.
-
Considering both West Ham and Hull are watching O'Connor, it's unlikely. Hooper would be a good signing. Better than Carroll anyway.
-
Leeds are now turning their attention to signing a new keeper now they don't need a new forward.
-
Stoke are more likely to go after Henry if the papers are to be believed. Not sure where all of their money has come from like.
-
Listen to the link. He's gone up in my opinion

Like when Keegan did?

Look where Scunny are now in comparison to Leeds... About 6 places higher? They finished as Champions of League 1 the season Beckford played for them, but Leeds were in the whole "administration" phase, so any potential transfers were delayed. Scunny bid £250k for him, but Leeds said he could only go if they got £300k.
-
Scunthorpe failed in signing Beckford by £50k when he first went back to Leeds!!
