  1. As fans we're never gonna get the exact team we want to see. I make it pretty clear that I want to see a Rodri type in this side, but it's not gonna happen. I'm not gonna blame Howe for it - weirdly the proven Premier league manager thinks differently to a guy sat on his laptop. That doesn't make the transfer window a disaster* - the suspension and injuries are the disaster. * The Hall thing is a bit weird though, admittedly.
  2. Maybe that left footed RW just wasn't available? Maybe we actually tried? Maybe the Barnes signing was opportunistic because he became available at a decent price (which if he'd stayed fit, we'd have seen). We wouldn't be having this conversation if Barnes, Joelinton and Willock hadn't been out for so long.
  3. It depends on whether or not you see Joelinton as a left winger.
  4. Barnes and Gordon were going to rotate. That includes in games, not just week to week. It would also allow Gordon, Wilson and Isak to rotate. It would also allow Gordon, Almiron and Murphy to rotate. There's a reason none of this "squad rotation" people use as a stick to beat Howe with hasn't happened. We all know that.
  5. Obviously if the penalty is only a fine, there's a chance we take it. Spend a billion more than we're allowed, take a £100m fine......
  6. I’m not jealous of him at all. I’m jealous of the likes of Bruno and Isak. I just think Longstaff makes us shitter than we really are. I hope he gets a massive contract at Bayern or something and has an amazing life, it’s not personal.
  7. I mean, we may as well accept that. City can then sell one of their academy prospects nobody has heard of for £50m to fund it. We can then hopefully find the next Bruno to sell in 2 years time to repeat the process. I'll be honoured watching our former players win trophies without us.
  8. Is it more enjoyable to be a fan of Brighton, or Wolves, or Bournemouth? No expectations, just happy to finish as high up as possible and see some class players every now and again?
  9. I enjoy watching my 7 year old son play grassroots on a Saturday more than I enjoy watching the premier league. I’m fully aware that won’t last though, especially when he gets to around under 13’s where the parents are fighting the refs. I ditched sky 2 years ago, this place is my only real football resource now. it’s all shit. My entire world was about football growing up. Now it can get fucked.
  10. Depressing as fuck this lads. Didn’t need it this morning
  11. Made a point of just watching him for 10 minutes to see what he did. He did nothing. Not a single positive contribution. I’m overly positive but I can’t cope with Longstaff playing anymore.
  12. “I’m not saying I’d sack him, but I think our Saudi overlords will be asking serious questions”
  13. I could give you names of posters who wanted him to fail from day one
  14. My own view is you’re right. I don’t think any manager will.
  15. Whoever the manager is, I hope to fuck he buys a proper number 6
  16. He’d struggle to get Man City top 4 man. He’s finished.
  17. Obviously I don’t. I just find it odd how many people hint at it but won’t come out and say it.
  18. Nobody wants to just say it. Should he be sacked tonight?
  19. When would you sack him? Tonight or in summer? Who you fancying to realistically replace him?
