Natural attrition for something like this tbh.

They said on Twitter they had spoken to some people from the original group earlier today.

It's not really about the letter though is it? Have a look at the website and names at the bottom of the letter. I can't remember a time in the last 20 years where the majority of our fan base have been on the same page. Really hope those involved can bring unity and just put as much pressure on Ashley as possible. It might not work, who knows? Sitting a round doing nothing achieves nothing. Look forward to seeing what their plans are going forward.

.pdf via email most likely. Hardly uncommon.

Yet the away tickets are on sale to Spurs fans.

“I thought some of the stuff last year about being desperate for a new goalkeeper was a bit harsh,” said the 32-year-old. “I didn’t think my performances warranted that. I wouldn’t say I was chucking goals in or anything like that, but sometimes you have to deal with that and make sure you come back stronger. Doesn't seem to understand there's a lot more to goalkeeping than not chucking it in your own net. The difference Dubravka made was huge.

We’re not always paying up front. When did this stop? A few years ago. Will only pay up front if it means a significant reduction in the fee.

Depends if he's on pens.

He was offered to the club a few weeks ago and Rafa said no.

Especially Fulham as well they have a stadium like an old abandoned warehouse Their stadium is great, one of my favourites. Give me Craven Cottage over Flatpark Park on Overpriced s**** Business Park off a Junction of a motorway. Love Craven Cottage. Always a good days drinking as well. In fact I've already booked a hotel for the weekend we play them at the end of the season.

That's a superficial view IMO, He worked hard across the pitch, offered pace as an outlet, and could cross a decent ball after all that. The only reason we got such a high price was because Rafa didn't want to lose him. It's true. His end product in the Euros was 0 goals and 0 assists. He's never been able to cross.
-
Rafa was more than happy to keep him but he didn't want to be here.

That's what I'm thinking, nowadays a cruciate can be week's? Wasn't his one at the start of last season a cruciate? "A while" is just vague as f*** and gives no info at all. Ankle.

Nah, the only Caulkin films I’ve seen are the home alone ones. There are tonnes of seemingly classics others rave about that I haven’t seen. Must try and watch more films, these days I’m into true crime s*** and documentaries though. I’ll check it out anyway and let you know my thoughts in a mega post in the film thread. The Terminator man, I cannot bring myself to watch those that followed 1 & 2. I’ve tried watching the 3rd one I think, but gave up. I actually know people my age that haven’t seen them and those who are currently 20 or so who have and can’t believe we got to see films like that back in the day. I know he is a great writer but didn't know George had branched out.

Or the BOC Home Oxygen Service.

Set to join Charlton on loan, first game likely to be against the mackems.

Aye, most transfer windows under Ashley without takeover rumours hanging over them have been a roaring success.

I'm sure he'd take some joy out of selling us to a shitter owner, however it's all about what he can gain from it, so best offer wins. Unfortunately there hasn't been any serious offers to consider. Or there has been serious offers BUT he isn't really interested in selling? Closest we've come is the mess Staveley made last year, but it looked like she was just a tyre kicker with no real interest apart from looking to pick us up on the cheap. Now, i know we want him out, but he's not going to accept an offer that doesn't suit him. I wouldn't accept an offer for a possession that wouldn't suit myself either. If she was serious then they would have found an agreement, found the £50m or so to make the deal happen. They didn't and it was telling for that they tried to use a dirty trick media campaign to force his hand (which failed spectacularly) rather than come back with a better offer, something we'd expect from the current owner. IMO it would have been out of the pan and in to the fire, only with less potential financial backing. Mind, Staveley may have been hung out to dry by potential backers. Maybe at first she had a few that were worth a fortune and they liked the idea, but for whatever reason they pulled out so she tried to do it on her own. This would be why she couldn't make a second reasonable offer, if so then see the original point; not real offer was made. Staveley met Ashley’s price for the club, Ashley then went and put the price up as soon as we did, and we arn’t talking about £50m here, we are talking another £100m, another third of the price. Staveley has the money to pay that, assuming Ashley wouldn’t put the price up again. However she has plans for the club which includes about £150m of immediate investment. Around half of that would have been for players. Another half would have been for the training facilities/academy, and stadium improvements. From what I understand it wouldn’t just be training and acedemy upgrades, but a whole new training ground and academy complex in a new location. The sort of campus that Premier League clubs are building, and something that would be for every age group could use. It would also have meant that we would be able to invest a lot more into the woman’s team and included a female acedemy. All of this is what Rafa has said is essential to the club long term, and as I have said it’s what the bigger clubs in the league are doing. Staveley was nowhere near a tyre kicker, she even went out of her way to being in the Rueben brothers who own land in Newcastle that is to be developed in order to not only kick start the development of the club, but the city as a whole. Give over. This is basically what George Caulkin said, and he's seen evidence of the bids made. Ashley doesn't want to sell unless at a ridiculous price - hence he put the price up to £400m.

Been picked up by the Spanish press apparently.

Eh? Maybe not a guaranteed one, but I’d be amazed if he was rejected altogether. Coming from a tier one league in Europe, significant transfer fee and will be on good wages. Due to Japan's FIFA ranking he needs to have played in 75% of their games in the last two years for it to be straightforward. Not sure if he has.
-
No.

They have a lot more competition now in the transfer market. If he continues to perform and develop someone else will buy him. I'm not sure about him, did well for England at the World Cup but as part of a three. Not convinced he's a top level defender.
-
Yep. He did a few interviews raving about Rafa, how the England u21 coaching staff had noticed how he had improved and become a more intelligent footballer etc and it was all down to Rafa.
