As a squad player under normal circumstances he wouldn't be an awful addition. However under Pardew being one of his British squad players means playing an embarrassingly high number of games.
It's more than that as well, he's only scored penalties since the last Clasico and been anonymous.
He's also been responsible for every goal they've conceded this season

Seems people have forgotten just how bad it was under Souness because it didn't last anywhere near as long as Pardew.
