Would like to see the same team that dicked them last season but with Bigi in for Tiote and Taylor in for Williamson.

He's never gonna be like Baines other than them both being attacking fullbacks. If he would cut in more and have some shots or look to slip passes in behind the defence for the strikers it would make up for his inability to cross the ball with his left foot.

The only thing I think he got wrong was taking Coloccini off and not replacing Ba with Cisse late on. Otherwise we were playing well until we went down to 10 men.

Hopefully he'll learn from this and play more sensibly. Yes we love his physicality but throwing yourself in late at people all the time is a part of his game he could do without. If you're gonna foul be more subtle.

I can understand Pardew protecting him but I really don't think he should have been taken off. Not in that form today. We'd have probably held on if he'd still been on the pitch.
