We certainly run the club in a similar way at the moment, though that's were the similarity ends. I met the owner of Lille, Michel Seydoux, a couple of years ago. He said (then) that Newcastle were the worst club he had ever dealt with. What dealing had we done with them? Rozehnal? Nope that was PSG. Don't remember any dealings with Lille before Cabaye.

But he still has a contract and should respect that. How would you react if a bigger club came in for Cabaye and he said in media that he wants to leave ect. Pretty sure you wouldn't be very happy. I wouldn't be happy but at the same time what's the point of keeping an unhappy player? We'd have a contingency plan if such a thing happened. We're a club who's prepared these days.
