I've said this a few times before but the Twente fan on Big Soccer is adament that Twente only ever do deals upfront, both incoming and outgoing. Makes sense that they'd like dealing with us. Pretty reasonable chance that they've leaked this in order to smoke out bigger offers from other interested parties like. Forever the dark cloud What the f***? What's the problem if we can afford it? We can't. Hate to harp on saying the same thing, but Pardew came out today saying we've got extra money to spend. We've already lost two strikers this summer (tenuously including Smith there). Extra money might be £8m in total, not to blow on one player who might be on the bench. Add in the supposed Debuchy thing and the fact we pay up front - without flogging someone for good money that's gonna be like £15m down. Be realistic mate. Simpson will be flogged as well if Debuchy comes in so in terms of net spend I doubt it will be crippling.
