Anyone who posts in this thread is a sad fucker
-
Yea he is getting alot of shit, TBH if anyone is to blame then it should be Roeder. Everyone on here knows Babs aint good enough yet all he got in the transfer market was Bernard on a freebie. Few times he has played in his proper position (CB) he has been decent. He is better at CB, but that doesn't mean he's good enough. That is a fair comment. And I wasn't saying he was good enough. All I was saying is that he hasn't been in the first team picture for long, and many players can be late developers. Sometimes it only takes a click in the mind to turn someone from an average/mediocre player to a solid decent one. I believe (or hope) this will be the case with Ramage. Now if we're talking top 4 or 5...yeah that he's not at the moment. But it's still no reason in my opinion to lay into the lad at every opportunity like some people do.
-
Are you kidding? He's 23! Still a child in development terms. When did he come into the first team? Point is...play him at CB for a run of games, and then decide

How bad is this fucking thread!? Get off his fucking back!!! He's a child still!!
-
Judging by that I'd say he can defend pretty well :winking:

how's that work then? and what is this magical place called Division 3? You ask stupid questions, you'll get stupid answers

Maurice Volz Luc Neill Wayne Bridge Peter Crouch Geremi

Those who doubt his ability can check his goal vs. Galatasaray. THAT goal.
-
Over-rated? Despite very impressive figures the majority of people still think he's useless. Exactly! Sorry but Peter Crouch is a class football player who makes things happen and puts the ball in the back of the net. He's not a potential player. He's the real deal. That's what I believe anyhow, and if we were to sign him i'd be over the moon.

Shepherd plans Toon takeover - Doesn't make for pretty reading
WhatTheFunk replied to JH's topic in Football
This isn't the old ... Shepherd is better than what came before him so he's a genius... load of tired old nonsense is it ? Charles Manson wasn't quite as nasty as Adolf Hitler, but I wouldn't want him as my next door neighbour, my bank manager or my football club chairman !!! It is. Good to have you back soldier -
LM, as fun as it can be debating with you, i'm sorry to say that you're a right patronising old git. Get over your fucking self and stop thinking you're a better supporter just because you're 105 yrs old. KK bandwagon jumpers? What an idiotic comment. If people who started to support Newcastle at the time of Keegan were "bandwagon jumpers", believe me they have jumped ship already. Those of us who've stuck it out for the past 13 years or so (due to AGE constraints) are here to stay. If that pisses you off, then great.

Shepherd plans Toon takeover - Doesn't make for pretty reading
WhatTheFunk replied to JH's topic in Football
What if he went through with the takeover with his personal cash? Just because he chairs the board doesn't mean he has to pump his own money into the club right? Did I misunderstand ur point? -
Did Barnes play keeper madras?

Shepherd plans Toon takeover - Doesn't make for pretty reading

Right. I have been against Shepherd for a long long time now, and have been amongst those calling for his severing his ties with NUFC. However, could it be that should he gain full control of the club, he may actually appoint the right people to run it, and just take a back seat for a change? I'm not defending him or attacking him with this post....just trying to be objective and pose a question. I really dont know about this situation anymore. A takeover would be great if it were the right ppl with the right funds. It could also be disasterous if otherwise. What I do know however is that the status quo cannot continue, and the way Shepherd has been running the club, and continues to do so is utterly unacceptable. Can he change? Are there goings on at the club that we don't know about? Could the Halls actually have been the real culprits in our downfall? So many questions, and I have none for answers. -
Love the "banter"

Should be Parker and Butt in the middle IMO, with Parker given the more advanced role. Then it should be Duff and Milner on the wings, with Dyer behind Martins. If we could utilise the pace of Dyer, Martins, Milner and Duff, we'd give a lot of teams a lot of problems. Problem is, our backline has to cut out the long balls, and that hasnt happened since SBR's glory days.

nail on head. it's the points dropped not the goals conceded.

Watford v Newcastle United - Post Match Thoughts
WhatTheFunk replied to BlufPurdi's topic in Football
How many Toon fans you think was in attendance? A hell of a lot. Couldn't put a figure on it, but it looked like at least 90% of the stand (behind goal where pens were taken) was full. Thought I'd heard about 3000 on 5live -

Can someone identify this "Nick"? lol is he really fraser forster? -
It's not that black and white HTL. The board could still release the funds, yet be prudent at the same time. GR could go for cheap experienced journeymen who would be brought in to ensure that we have some physical and mental presence. I don't really believe that our squad is full of nancies who don;t have the bottle for a fight. I believe that ANY man would have the bottle for the fight if the person in charge can motivate them in the right way. On the other hand, you could have hard men who do not need motivation to fight, but who lack the necessary application to keep us afloat. The board have failed simply because they have overspent at the wrong times, and underspent at the wrong times. They have also made uncalculated appointments in managerial and coaching positions. They simply must pay for their erroneous ways, and there is no two ways about that. You keep going on about how Parker/Dyer/Luque etc.. shouldn't be here because they're not up to much. Well, neither is our "board" or "chairman". I think it's quite obvious that your thread is simply there to show your argument that the board is damned if they did and damned if they didn't. The risks have already been taken previously which have led us to this impasse, or moot point. The board is between a rock and a hard place, and if I were FS, I would be looking to sell my shares off at the soonest opportunity.
