I've been sickened by today's events and I don't think I can support NUFC 100% under the current regime. If Keegan returns someone's head will have to roll to pay for the shit we've had to deal with today.

Bollocks! I hate the little cockney twat, and it shows a total lack of understanding of NUFC and football in general that Ashley appointed him in the first place. You complain about the media in one thread and believe everything that is said about Wise in another. Amazing. What are you going on about!? I didn't mention the media in that post. I don't need the tabloids to convince me that Wise is an odious little shite! Dennis Wise, Director of Football at NUFC. Does that sound right? Think about it! Aye, should get Beardsley, not only is he local but he's got plenty of experience of bullying young lads so he could pick on them until they sign. I'd expect a Director of Football to have a comprehensive knowledge of European and World football, and a network of contacts around the world. I'm sure you'd agree that Dennis Wise did not, and never will, fit that bill. But he's building up a team around him that do, that's the point. The signings of Jonas and Gonzalaz show they've got contacts. You're missing the point or being deliberately awkward. What qualified Wise for the job in the first place? If the job had been advertised do you really think Wise would have topped the list of prospective candidates? I think not!

It hurts because it's true. Bollocks! Well let's start with the headline, how the fuck has Keegan been humiliated? If he's walked away, which many people feel is true, I assume he must feel that himself, no? No! If he's walked away he's done it for a very good reason. IMO Keegan would only have walked at this time if he felt he was not being backed 100% by the owner and the board. In my book that doesn't amount to humiliation, that would be the action of a proud man standing up for his principles.

One of the worst anti NUFC articles I've read in a long time. It's really got my piss boiling. http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/sport/football/article-1051947/Keegan-clown-Ashley-circus--8216-Messiah-8217-humiliated-owner.html?ITO=1490

5 Live, Keegan phone home!

I completely agree with this. I understand how people are carried away by their love for Keegan, I remember how amazing the first time was. But the way some people have turned against Ashley over this is disappointing. I still believe he has an excellent long-term strategy for this club, better than any owner we've had. Maybe we get the club we deserve sometimes, reacting like this? That's how I'd see it as well. Keegan seems to have this Princess Diana status with many supporters. In their eyes, he can do no wrong and whenever there's trouble it has to be someone else's fault. The fact is that he has to work as part of a team and he can't have his own way all the time. Whether he comes back or not, I think that permanent damage has now been done to Keegan's working relationship with the new regime. If he's really not happy with how things are being run, then he should resign. "Princess Diana status" what the fuck are you on about?! Another bandwagon merchant who doesn't appreciate the history of the club! Sorry if you didn't understand the Princess Diana comment. I can't be arsed to explain. And as it happens, I've been a supporter for 40 years. Well you should know better! Keegan can work as part of a team, but the one thing he won't tolerate is being fed false promises, and I think that's the crux of the problem. The old quote "it wasn't like it said in the brochure" springs to mind.

No way back for Keegan according to Mick Lowes on 5 live now!

It's not so much the looking for players. It is him being involved in pursuading them to come here. There is no one better qualified to do that than Kev, he should be involved in that process. Based on what? You've obviously never been in a room with Keegan and listened to him speak. Modric has, and still wasn't convinced. He's not Paul McKenna for fucks sake, but one of Keegan's biggest assets is his enthusiasm for NUFC, and a lot of players would be more convinced to come here after talking to Keegan than Dennis Fucking Wise!

Good point. I think Keegan's the last man you p*ss off in football, and in Ashley, KK's probably picked on the one man who you don't try what he did with Hall 15 years back. Clash in personalities I think. Nah man! Keegan's the last man you piss off at NUFC!

If Keegan comes back and Ashley finds a scapegoat, Llambias, then all is forgiven. If Keegan doesn't come back then Ashley's got a firesale on his hands.
-
Is the Llambias theory right? Beginning to sound it. Llambias tried to fire KK, KK thought he was gone. Ashley found out and has now tried to get him back. That would certainly fit what we've seen today, and goodbye Llambias and good riddance!

Is the Llambias theory right? Who fucking knows!

SSN report that Keegan had been telling friends that he had been sacked!
-
Lol. Hear, hear!
-
Skirge you're the barometer of emotion on here! One minute suicidal the next walking in a Keegan wonderland!
-
See what you're saying but that wasn't in the days of SSN or internet chat/technology. I think he may see this as too public to back down. IMO. The publicity is strengthening Keegan's position and putting the heat on Ashley and his cronies! I see what your saying but my point is more about KK and his pride. He may feel too proud to 'come back' as it were. He'll come back if he gets his own way. And if he doesn't Ashley's facing a fire sale and that'll hit him where it hurts, in his pocket.

Keegan did it once with SJH and it worked, I didn't believe he could pull the same stroke again but I believe he has. If he's still manager he's in a stronger position than ever and that'll be good news for the club in the immediate future.

Stop being a twat and give us a couple of minutes of joy after all the crap we've endured today!
