  1. He's intelligent, has good touch, scores goals, but the best thing about him is that he really wants to do well for us. Keep it up Sib!
  2. Bollocks!!! That fucking Tory rag should get it's facts right. Fiction dressed up as fact. What a comic, I wouldn't wipe me arse on it!
  3. Great news! It's obvious from the club statement that a bid has been made. I'm optimistic that Freddie will accept, he must know it's time to go!
  4. If an official bid for the club has been made Shepherd would have to make a statement to the Stock Exchange. That hasn't happened yet. Come on Freddie do the right thing, take the money and fuck off!
  5. FFS! This forum's plumbing new depths tonight! Absolutely pathetic!!!
  6. You are missing the fact that he plays the geordie card for the 1000th time, demonstrating that he is totally out of touch with the fans. Didn't Sir John Hall say the same ? See my post to jimmymag Whatever SJH said is irrelevent. It is the current chairman I am worried about. please explain the difference ? And why you are so bothered, if he wants to look daft its up to him , unless you agree with him Unfortunately he's our Chairman, and if you can't see the damage he does to our club then you're a bigger fool than I thought you were.
  7. You've completely missed the point! (Again!) This is another example of Shepherd voicing his small minded parochialism. Shepherd seems to believe that Geordies are a sort of super race much like Hitler believed that a pure German Aryan race would one day rule the world. He's on record saying that ideally he'd want a team of Geordies managed by a Geordie manager. It's utterly pathetic and continues to make NUFC a laughing stock! Its you that is missing the point. It is irrelevant. I don't consider we will be a laughing stock when we play in europe again soon - again. We were however a laughing stock when we spent decades struggling to even stay in the top league or the 2nd division, losing to utter shite teams that we shouldn't even be playing, selling our best players, and playing in front of sub 20,000 crowds. emot-yawn.gif

  9. Whatever was said to Emre should be repeated to him before all future games if it can inspire him to perform like he did last night. Well done Emre!
  10. If Clarkie has said the things reported on here regarding Luque and Bernard he's probably cost the club a substantial amount of cash in sell on fees. That sort of detail should stay within the club, he's been totally unprofessional and should suffer the consequences. If it was down to me, even though I've always liked him, I'd sack him.

    Kieron Dyer

I think we should stop talking about how good Dyer's been, and how crucial he is to our Premiership survival, otherwise it's only a matter of time before he's crocked again.
  12. I can't believe the pathetic criticism on here of Taylor, Parker and Roeder, and some dick saying that our performance was rubbish! There are still too many bandwagon merchants on here who are too thick to appreciate a fantastic battling performance that got us a desperately needed point.
  13. ...with Republic. Great to see SBR back at work. He didn't look very well mind, left arm in sling, limping badly, and slurring his speech in interview with SSN. Good luck Bobby.
  14. Much as I hate to even contemplate it, I fear Dire could be the key to our Premiership survival. His running, with and without the ball, brought a new dimension to our attack, and our play in the last 5 minutes showed everyone, including the players, just how good we could be. I've been a fierce critic of Dire, I would have outed him after his antics in Smogland, he owes us bigtime. This is his last chance to show that he hasn't been the biggest waste of time and money in the club's history. Payback time starts now!
  15. Hey HTL, you are such a strong supporter of the Fat Controller, it could be you next ! You would have to move from Leeds though....... :winking: I thought HTL was the fat controller.... ....or is he NE5?
  16. Well said!!! Far too many pricks on here with short memories. Don't you remember what happened in 1996? Any true Geordie fan wouldn't piss on Ferguson if he was on fire!
  17. I hate the man with a passion!!! He's the most ungratious man in sport, it was a disgrace when he was knighted, totally devalued the award.
  18. I think you should learn to read. I also think its ****ing amazing that people like you appear when the club is having a tough time then disappear when they are winning. And also continues to avoid giving alternatives to the current board and name the replacements that will guarantee to put the club into the top 4 permanently which is what you appear to think is automatic. There are no guarantees in life, but I think it's worth a punt that a new chairman would do a better job than Shepherd. In fact I'm almost certain that we would be better off without FFS. And for your information, I look at the forum on a regular basis but feel it's pointless getting into petty arguments again with you, and others, when it's obvious that I'm not going to change your opinion on the crucial issue facing the club, who should be running NUFC. Hopefully the one good thing to come out of our current predicament is that the majority of Newcastle fans now agree with my long held belief that Shepherd has taken the club as far as his limited abilities allow, and that he should now sell up for the good of the club he claims to love.
  19. It fucking amazes me that some people, the usual suspects, still try to defend FFS!!! The club is rapidly going down the pan and, like in all business, the buck stops at the top.
  20. We desperately need to win tomorrow's game so, IMO, Luque should not start. I'd rather go with Sibierski as he's looked more capable of linking our midfield with attack.
  21. They'll want to make money. This can only be done by, first and foremost, by pursuing success on the pitch and making Newcastle once again a team that people want to watch – something that now seems to be way beyond Shepherd and his cronies. Aye, they might fail. But then again, this is the second season in a row where the consensus is that we're in danger of relegation. So what's to fear from a change at the top? relegation do you think Belgravia have a bottomless pit of transfer funds? do you think Belgravia have any experience of running a football club? do you think Belgravia have any links to the Premier League, the FA, UEFA, FIFA? do you think Belgravia would put the fans before the balance sheet? Do you think Belgravia directors will be regularly available for talk ins? Do you think Belgravia will stand for copyright infringement of their brand? Do you think Belgravia know why you or I even go to a football match even though we have achieved the some total of fuckall? As the lad said, they're investors, they'll want to make money from their investment and the only way to do that is for NUFC to have a successful football team. So what if they've not got any experience of running a football club, I've no doubt they are taking the best advice available and, if and when they takeover NUFC, they will then employ the best people available to take the club forward, irrespective of where they come from!
  22. I've answered the question already about Man U and Arsenal, once is enough. In terms of league position since Freddy took over weve been below 4 teams, right, here's the 4. Year 1 Arsenal, Manchester U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Leeds, Blackburn, Aston Villa, West Ham, Derby, Leicester, Coventry, Southampton. Year 2 Manchester, Arsenal, Chelsea, Leeds, West Ham, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Derby, Middlesbrough, Leicester, Tottenham, Sheffield W. Year 3 Manchester, Arsenal, Leeds, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Sunderland, Leicester, West Ham, Tottenham. Year 4 Manchester, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leeds, Ipswich, Chelsea, Sunderland, Aston Villa, Charlton, Southampton. Year 5 Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester U. Year 6 Manchester, Arsenal. Year 7 Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester U, Liverpool. Year 8 Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester U, Everton, Liverpool, Bolton, Middlesbrough, Manchester C, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Charlton, Birmingham, Fulham Year 9 Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Blackburn Rovers. Edit. It says a lot when we've been below shitty Villa and Doug Ellis 5 seasons out of 9. Only 4 teams have a higher average position, and qualifed for europe more than us. Fact. The fact that one club ie Southampton, finished above us twice in the last decade means absolutely sweet FA so far as I can see. Where are they now ? Do they have a shite board or a good board ? And remember - that they were above us for a LONG time when we had our own previous board .... Shitty Villa and Doug Ellis have been above us 5 times, the great Freddy has been above them and him 4 times. The shitty Arsenal and Man U as you call them have never finished below us while we've had Shepherd. Before Shepherd arrived only Man U finished above Newcastle, where are we now? Why do you avoid answering my reply ? As I have said, if regular european football is not good enough for you, stop going and force them out like 30,000 did the last time we were shite, for the vast majority of over 30 years. We haven't appointed a manager as good as Keegan was, I'll give you that, such people grow on trees don't they  Do you agree that manu and Arsenal have gone backwards recently so they must, by your criteria, now have shite boards ? Your infantile argument is really pissing me off! You mention that we have been amongst the top 4 or 5 top spenders during Shepherd's reign so, in a money dominated league, the bare minimum we could have expected was to finish in the top 6 consistantly. Can't you see that if Shepherd had had a strategic plan, and made better key decisions, we could and should have done a hell of a lot better?

£70m spent in 2 years and that's what you come up with. Jesus wept! Aye, but the money hasn't been spent wisely. We seem to get sucked into a last minute spending frenzy towards the end of every transfer window. What do we think of the purchases of Luque and Boomsong, to name just two? Shepherd is directly responsible for this shambles! In that case, blame Souness & Roeder. Shepherd can't be blamed for backing his managers. The key word is highlighted in bold. Open your eyes man! Shepherd is the root cause of this mess.
