I give full credit to JK for Shola's massive improvement. Shola's playing with an aggressive edge to his game which is making life tough for opposing defenders. Long may it continue.

Poll said that he would have been sent of if he'd been booked for raising his hands and then got a second yellow for the studs up challenge for which he was subsequently booked. Barton is an idiot though and he'll never get rid of the nasty side to his character. It's only a matter of time before he lets us down again.

I look forward to it, it'll be like finding out father Christmas isn't real all over again for some of the mongs on here if it turns out Keegan isn't the victim. That's got to be top of your all time pathetic comments! Looking at the time it was posted I'll assume that you were pissed at the time.

We certainly need some more carpet football, we played like the away team yesterday. I never understand how Given doesn't grasp the fact that if he plays it to a defender we can build and keep the ball, if he punts it, 9 out of 10 times the opposition win it back. The point is Given does what his manager tells him to do regarding distribution. JK wants him to hoof it whilst KK wanted him to play it short most of the time.

I've read a couple of pages and no one seems to have pointed out that we were passed off the park by WBA, if they had had any sort of cutting edge we would have been in serious trouble. Villa won't be as toothless. And I don't like that Shay has been told to punt it up field at every opportunity. I know Shola has been doing all right in the air, and has been winning his share of knock ons but Oba isn't the best at anticipating the knock on and we produce very little. Under Keegan we played from the back more often than not and I feel that we need to mix it up a bit more.

Penalties and sendings off should only be given when the referee, or one of his assistants, is absolutely certain that they have made the right decision. Whenever there's any doubt, as was the case on Monday night because of Styles' poor positioning, the benefit of the doubt should go in the defender's favour. It's not difficult, and if all referees stuck to this principle the game would be a lot better for it.

Well done Joe Kinnear! His one on one sessions with Shola look to be working. From Shola's first challenge with Dunne when he gave him a smack in the mush, Shola showed much more aggression and self belief, and bearing in mind he could only have been half fit I thought the lad played a blinder.

Oba's back but Jonas is out according to the official site!

Mike Ashley - Newcastle's best ever chairman/owner.

That's my view of Ashley as well, especially the bit in bold! I feel he is/has been very naive with regards to football in general and our club in particular, and he's been very poorly advised from the outset. This is the only conclusion that can be drawn from the series of poor decisions he has made, especially his decision to bring Keegan back with false promises and then not backing him in the transfer market. That situation was always going to backfire on Ashley. There's no doubt that his situation at NUFC is untenable and he has to go, but I'm very nervous of where we go from here and who the next owner will be. -
It fucking amazes me the criticism that Coloccini gets on here, some people wouldn't know class if it sat on their face!
-
Well done to Joe and the lads! A battling performance, just what was needed, and I'm now more optimistic that we won't get relegated with the Yidos!
-
McGovern is a scouse cunt who is always taking the piss out of easy targets including NUFC and Keegan. Wanker!
-
I like the man's style! Hopefully it'll get translated word for word so that all our foreign employees understand, and the whole squad realises that it's a them and us situation which might just help us climb the league table.

Jesus wept. Apologies Tooj, but the fact some would still have him back tomorrow is beggers belief. How can you not welcome him back? He was always striving for the good of the team, and was sold down the river by people who didn't have a clue about what they were doing. The poor showing in the last week of the window proved that. I believe Keegan with the right backing will leave us in a better position than some foriegn manager which many think would be better. Wake up and look at our track record, this club runs best when it's run by people that know it inside out! Keegan does! Shearer does! so they should be our next 2 managers for the foreseeable future. If people don't like it then go support a team with a fashionable manager as that's obviously what you care about. KEEGAN KEEGAN KEEGAN! Jesus wept. Deep down you know i'm right Just embrace it and let go of your hitzfeld dream. I suppose you wouldn't be supporting us if Keegan actually turns us around with good backing? That would obviously go against your principles would it not? I'd support him if the club was doing well because that's what I'm interested in, but this latest episode has shown him to be both a liar and someone who I would have little faith in to see the job out, I would fully expect to wake up one day to hear he's gone off in a huff again so I don't want him back. Glen Roeder knew the club too btw and look how that turned out so the 'knowing the club' statement means nothing. IMO there's no one better to manage NUFC at this time than Keegan, with the proviso that he gets reasonable backing in the transfer market. Come on then Baggio, enlighten us with your vast knowledge of the world game, who could do a better job than Keegan at this time?

Total bollocks! Ashley bought the club for a reasonable price and, because he didn't carry out the due dilligence, wasn't aware of the massive debt the club had. Fair enough he cleared the debt, but this was at the expense of investing money in the playing staff and meeting the promises he had made to the fans when he took over. As for Keegan's appointment, Keegan was always going to be a luxury Ashley couldn't afford and Keegan was never going a lacky and yes man to Ashley and his cronies. As soon as Keegan saw through Ashely's empty promises he was off, and no one who knows Keegan and his reputation should be surprised by that. -
Just read it, and even though it's well written for the most part, a liberal sprinkling of "IMO" wouldn't go amiss.

That confirms it then, 33% of people who post on this forum are total arseholes!

I gave up reading after "If he loves this club".

We had Kenny Wharton, Joe Joyce running the Academy, we would lose our Academy status if we had nee fucker running the gig. One full time scout, the club has always had stacks of part time bods all over the region & eyes in the uk. Maybe not as strong abroad though. The idea & concept looks great but as we saw with Spurs last year Commoli signing players for positions Jol didnt want players for was bonkers. I do like Monchi at Seville as a DOF the fella works with with coach in making the signings. As Wegner says the day Arsenal appoint DOF will be the day before he quits. Head strong & manager with big ego's are never going to work with DOF because they will back themselves to be the person with the best eye for good footballers Link? Because last I heard he was actively looking for one. Nicky Hammond was a rumored target but the DOF works for him a bit like Gordon Milne worked for Bobby Robson. The manager is still the main man. Baggio you know me I aint going to make it up man, if you still want link I try & find it but ffs man. The quote in bold reminded me of the scene in Resevoir Dogs where the guys in the chair getting his ear cut off. I didn't realise Baggio was such a nasty character.

what about keegans if it turns out to be his fault ? Come on then sparky, let your imagination run wild and make up a scenario where it could be Keegan's fault. keegan says to ashley "i wanted lots more to spend in the market, i want to compete with chelsea in the market, if you don't give me it i;m off" Pathetic!
