I don't think we have the same rules as Serie A with regards to cardiac arrests and he seems to be actively targeting a move back to the PL, which backs that up. He is convinced he's fit and fine and wants to get back into the Denmark squad for the world cup. The only risk from our side is whether insurance would cover him.

There's not a lot of mention of Christian Eriksen in here but surely he's worth a 1-2 year contract. A world class attacking midfielder for FREE - that doesn't happen very often

You simply can't plan for the kind of individual errors our players are making though. That inevitably comes with having shit players. We can work on shape and system as much as we want, but Clark dropping the kind of clangers he does every game, Darlow's crisp packet hands, Shelvey's blind pass, Dubravka's mistakes make all of that hard work redundant.

So far the evidence suggests Lascelles is going backwards. Fede on the other hand stepped into a team down to 10 men, having been on the bench all season and looked absolutely top draw. I think a spell on the sidelines could do Lascelles some good. Also, what message does it send to Fede after a performance like that?!

The next team sheet will be quite telling. Howe has happened upon our best back 4 by accident (despite us all knowing it all season) and we know for certain that under Bruce, Lascelles would be straight back in and Fede back on the bench. If Howe does that as well it will be a massive let down and a definite black mark in his book
